Staying two nights at Beach End felt the same as the beachside flats we often stayed in on Magnetic Island, Queensland. Everything we needed was there. Little touches ( like the functional cooking items) were thoughtfully there. Homely: very much so! The units are 30 or so years old but are clean, comfortable and well positioned, with a view to the nearby beach and Diamond Island. Shane and Nort do their best to include a visitor into a community. Five Stars Plus. Peter Jacobson, Queensland.

Thankyou so much for our lovely stay.  Unfortunately it was only 1 night.  Would have loved to have stayed longer.  The magpie unit 3 was all we needed.  It is spotlessly clean, has a washing machine/dryer which was great for us and plenty of tea and coffee and all cooking facilities that you need.  The view is amazing.  The sheep were just a bonus. A short 5 minute walk to the beach which we had to ourselves.  Will definitely be back.

The amount of time that I wasted/enjoyed taking in the view - end of day and start of day.  A perfect spot to enjoy a wine or a cuppa on the deck.

We were 4 couples coming from Victoria primarily for the Devil Of A Swim event. We booked the 3 units for 4 couples for 4 nights. We had a wonderful time. The location and the views are to die for.Every morning we would wake to a wonderful sunrise over the paddocks, Diamond Island and the ocean. We swam (coming from Victoria used to cold waters),walked to The Gulch and swam in Waubs Bay among other activities. A good 1 1/2 k walk or a 5 minutes drive from Bicheno township. Freycinet and Wineglass Bay walks a must as is having a drink and lunch at Devil's Corner and many other fine wineries in close proximity.Great cafes and coffees in town and don't miss The Farm Shed for all things local including wines. A great place to stay and explore all the east coast of Tasmania has to offer. Shane was incredibly helpful.The swims through the kelp gutters unforgettable. We will be back again for next years Devil Swim-if not sooner.

The property is located just off the Tasman Highway and has wonderful ocean views.
The pictures online do not do justice to this place. It really is in a great setting with views from the veranda and the large picture window inside.
While our apartment was the smallest of the three it was still comfortable and roomy enough for two.
The interior has been renovated to a high standard and the paintwork throughout is fresh and unblemished.
The unit was spotlessly clean and fresh.
The beach is a five minute walk away but the best thing comes at night when the penguins come ashore and walk up the beach to their burrows.
A small group of them live under the house and are very vocal when they return each night.
It is quite amazing how noisy such small little creatures can be.
We will be back and stay longer next time.

Great location short walk to most shops and the beach, clean and comfortable rooms with a perfect view from the lounge/deck area, penguin viewing at night was better than I had expected.

We stayed recently in the one bedroom apartment. The view over the sheep strewn paddock to the sea & Diamond island was breathtaking. We had a lovely evening beach walk. Also walked to the blowhole at Bicheno during the day. 
Very relaxing sitting on the window seat. 
Apartment itself was clean & comfortable for our needs. Described in other reviews.

I loved this place. You get the best of both worlds - country and seaside views. From the moment we arrived at this gorgeous beach shack overlooking a paddock of sheep with it’s uninterrupted views of Diamond Island to the private track that led us to the beach to enjoy a walk on low tide to the island. It’s just homely and picturesque.

We stayed in Unit two and it was so lovely! It was a small room which was fine for us for our one night stay. One thing I didn’t particularly like was the bathroom and kitchen was in one room, other than that was a great stay. 

Starfish suite unit 2 which is small but many facilities. The heater doesnt work that well. We can view the sunset by the door with seats provided. Dislike the kitchen combined with bathroom and it is small. The bed is cosy and warm. The place is near to beach that has penguins but the route is very dark and need to walk past bushes.

Great Location

Near the beach

We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit which was nice and spacious for the four of us. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed and pillows were super comfy. The walk down to the beach was great. We went at night as well and spotted some little penguins. Watched a beautiful sunrise from the deck. Would recommend staying here.
