Stayed here for 2 nights with my cousin. Vy was super nice and she gave all the information we needed. The location super convenient and there are lots of places you and eat and drink. I highly recommend this place if you want to explore the centre of the city. 

I was just there for one night on my way to Cambodia (by the Hang Chau boat the next morning) from HCM City, and so there was a pickup shuttle (thanks to the hotel manager who told me that in advance :) ) and it was just about a ten minute ride to the hotel (I was the first to be dropped off).  The lady at the desk called the Hang Chau boat office right away to confirm my pickup for the next morning, so that was very, very nice of them! :)  And, the staff also made sure that I was up the next morning by coming to knock on my door and all that, so yes very impressed with their hospitality service :).  Was picked up by a foot-pedalled richshaw in the morning and got to the boat dock in just like 20 minutes.

There's a noodle/soup restaurant like right beside the hotel turning left towards the main road after getting out of the hotel (the restaurant is right on the corner but you have to enter it from the main road), and you get to the Bassac River (there may be another name for it too) by turning left again onto the main road and walking about ten minutes, and there are quite a few places to eat along that main road as well like places for rice meals which you can't get at the noodle/soup place beside the hotel.

About the only downside was the TV reception, but then there really wasn't much time to watch TV anyway since I had to be up at like 5 45 am :).

Great location

Vy Khanh was a bit of a walk from the waterfront. Since we would only be here for one night before catching the boat to Phnom Penh the following day, I didn't want to spend much on a room. We paid $10. It was a fine room for one night, but definitely had a musty/smoky odor. The best part about this guest house was the excellent wifi.  Karaoke is big here and you could definitely hear some people singing into the night, but not a big deal.
