Living in Arizona, I've been to Sedona many times, but this is the first time I decided to book a solo trip over Christmas. I wanted a place that was cozy, with a fireplace, a huge bathtub, and a great view that was ALSO within walking distance to shopping, but away from the hectic uptown area. 

The Inn Above Oak Creek met every single requirement. When booking, I loved that I could select my specific room from either the creek or mountain view side. I selected Creekside Queen Room #6 which matched the pictures on their website perfectly. I booked directly through their site, which was extremely easy and I received confirmation right away.

There is no hot breakfast (which was not an issue for me, and was made very clear on both the website and in my confirmation email), but there is an assortment of pastries, yogurt, frozen breakfast sandwiches, coffee, tea, etc to choose from in the mornings if you preferred. You could eat this either in your room (a tray is provided), in their cozy living area, or on the furnished patio that overlooks Oak Creek. 

The property surrounding the main building is lovely, with Adirondack chairs and a hammock so that you can relax while reading a book, or drinking a glass of wine and listening to the creek that is just feet away. 

It's a 5 minute walk to Freeform Coffee (highly recommend!) as well as Tlaquepaque Village, and there are other great places nearby so you don't even have to get in your car.

I would absolutely stay here again, and look forward to checking out some of the other available rooms. 

A Peaceful and Beautiful Christmas Weekend 

We stayed 3 nights at the Inn, 12/26 - 12/ 29.  
The Inn is in an excellent location, easy walking distance to all the businesses and restaurants in town. 
Our room was upstairs in the back with a great view of the Creek, trees,  and red rocks.  The room had a fireplace which warmed the room up quickly and was so nice to look at. The room was also very clean, quiet, spacious, plenty of towels, soap, etc.  Our room had a hot tub and you had to stand in it to shower.  While it was fine for us, the deep tub made it a bit awkward to get in and out and would be an issue in terms of accessibility for some people.  I would recommend checking to see if the room you want has that sort of setup if that is a consideration.  Our tub also did not have a handheld shower which would have been better, but the regular shower was just fine. Good water pressure and the water was hot. 
The bed was very comfortable and we had plenty of blankets and pillows. 
One really terrific thing about the Inn was the snacks/ food. While there was no set breakfast, there was cereal, bagels/muffins, tea, coffee, yogurt, juice that was all self serve.  This was a huge advantage as there is only one coffee house sort of close and all the restaurants were so crowded that a quick breakfast out was not possible. Also there is a full size fridge guests can use if they have leftovers/ wine, beer etc, and which we used.  There is no fridge/ microwave in the room, but it was easy to use the ones in the main area. 
The lobby/ dining room is also a great place to just sit and enjoy the view. There is a fireplace always burning and the room is peaceful, cozy and a nice place for breakfast. 
There is free wifi which worked well enough. 
There is also an outdoor space right on the creek, which in the summer would be a great place to relax. 
We checked out very early, and the staff encouraged us to set aside any breakfast items we wanted which was so nice to have as nothing in town opens that early. 
The Inn also has easy parking. 
We would most definitely recommend the Inn for convenience,  cleanliness, quiet, friendly staff and value.   We would stay here again. 
 

Great stay at the Inn

Staff we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and informative. Inn is well located. We walk to the Marg Draw Trail. The Inn itself is cozy. Parking was easy and we drive to a nearby restaurant, but there’s plenty of choices walking distance. Breakfast was good and the cookies in the evening were a treat.

Cozy inn with great service

First of all, the staff were wonderful, helpful and very friendly. The room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable, the views from the room were incredible. Staying at the Inn was like staying at a friend's home, it was very warm and welcoming and I can't wait to stay there again.

A very pleasant experience.

This was a beautiful Inn overlooking Oak Creek.   We stayed in room 5 and it was beautiful…comfy bed, fireplace and a little deck for coffee or a glass of wine. 
Nice set-up for a continental breakfast in the mornings.  We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Lovely!

Our experience at the Inn on Oak Creek was wonderful. Staff did everything to make our stay comfortable and the room was first class.  Felt more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. Hope to come back soon.

We stayed there four nights and love the place.  The hotel was centrally located, so we could walk to restaurants and/or shops and not have to deal with crazy Sedona traffic.  The guy overseeing the place while we were there, Rich, was a great guy.  He was friendly and always offering to help us with whatever we needed.  e.g. breakfast food, parking for hikes, etc.  I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Sedona who can climb a flight a stairs as there is no elevator.

The check in guy is friendly and always helpful. Our second time staying here. Im a bit of a germaphobe so I did have a cpl concerns w the cleanliness. There was a long dark hair on 1 hand towel. A stain or dirt on top of the white comforter, dusty on top of the dvd player & we had 2 plug it into a usb cord that was there, after troubleshooting the remotes for 20 min. These things should have been checked & cleaned prior to us arriving. Gunk also came out of the tub jets but didn't notice till end of the bath(to dark & had a glass of wine) so that was gross. Love everything else about this place & hopefully will give it another try, but the cleanliness kinks need to get worked out 1st & asap.

Creekside stay. Not as good as last time.

The staff ( Richard ) was a fantastic host, he couldn’t do enough for you he was very accommodating. Would highly recommend this facility.
