I, have stay at the Starlite  a few times, but haven't been there since 2018. I, always found the rooms clean and the pool beautiful. The staff great! I, am wondering if it changed owners? Never had parking problems and if I asked for anything, I got it.

Surprised..

Not a guest of the motel but was riding bikes with my father who has been eyeing property up in Maine. Curious of the motels for-sale sign he pulled into the lot to look at the sign further (not far from the sidewalk). The owner or manager (not sure who, bald guy) is cussing on the phone outside of the office. I overhear him say “ yeah and got two people riding bikes around this f**king parking lot. Realizing he was talking about us (remind you just sitting there near the side walk) I turned and looked. He then said “ yes you, get the F**k out of here.” Shocked my dad tried explaining to him how he just was looking at the sign to which made the guy curse at us more. Not sure if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed or if he’s mad at the world but it makes me wonder if that’s the reason why there wasn’t a single guest staying there. Hospitality seemed far from reach.

Rude

Degeulous, unhealthy, really unpleasant room like you'd think in a prison with concrete walls the furniture smelled so much moisture the air in the room came in disgusting!

The last resort!

Our room was very clean, rather spacious and cozy (fridge, coffee shop, dressing room, dishwasher, TV with a wide choice of channels) thank you for everything and next year!

What a wonderful stay at the old orchard.

It was a vacancy with decent ratings.
The place was filthy, no parking, no wi-fi
Connection although you’re connected.
Shower too small. Wiring not code. 
A/C filter never changed or cleaned. Owner not friendly . 
Pool with loose ladders and rails
Bathroom door fell off. 
Worst place on the strip and I am a positive person.

Not the place to stay

have stayed at many hotels in old orchard and this one by far is the worst. the woman running the front desk was rude like I was keeping her from something as she was in a bathing suit and barefeet. stayed in room 1. floors were not cleaned, bathroom was horrible. bathroom door not able to shut as it was all busted on the bottom. rusty pipes and sink. beds not comfortable at all and air conditioning so weak it couldn't cool off the room. parking was horrible. truck that didn't even belong there parked in front of my room. called office only to get answering machine. floor not clean as it felt like I was walking barefoot on the beach but only to be inside the room. if there is any kind of housekeeping there then they need to be fired. many other hotels with nicer interiors and cheaper rates than this place. certainly not worth anything close to the 190 bucks a night I was charged. checked out next day and went somewhere else

starlite nightmare

short notice for trip, they had a vacancy. room ok, bathroom tiny, staff very friendly, and very accommodating. pool good, parking not so good unless driving a small car. beds were comfy enough, train ran right behind our room for wake up call. probably won't stay there again, unless emergency

close to beach, great staff

Have nothing good to say, we were in room number 1, for starters bathroom shower was full of mold, wore my flip flops and the drain didnt stay in place in the shower, also the bathroom door at the bottom was so badly damaged you were not able to close the bathroom door, many cob webs hanging from the ceiling, the place needed a good dusting, my husband killed a bug in bed plus two spiders in the washroom, and when he lied in his bed he could see the outside through the cracks in the concrete, sheets were dirty, will never go back there again even if it was free

Stay away

It's a disused, dirty, and too expensive room for the quality of the facility, 560 can dollars for two days, train hours with a disturbing horn two meters from our room.

DEFUITED, unscathed, brilliant and three times near the flight.

Where to start ... Booked a room for two nights! The parking lot is awful, very difficult to maneuver and the only way out is to back out onto the busy street. The room was very basic, beds hard as a rock and so uncomfortable no one (including the kids) got any sleep. Pillows flat as pancakes. Sleeping on the ground in a sleeping bag would be better.  Room was tidy but not clean! Housekeeping was rude and spent less than 15 minutes in our room. They didn't clean anything or change the sheets. Just made the beds and the "housekeeper" walked in front of my husband and I as we were sitting outside in front of the room and was ready to go right in. I stopped her and had the kids come out before she walked in and scared them to death. She never said a word of greeting and made us feel as though we were inconveniencing her. The shower in unit #1 was the smallest I've ever seen and the table and chairs were rickety and old. The only saving grace for our weekend was the location which is .6 miles from the Pier and a short walk to the beach. Please stay away and save your money!
