I was so impressed with how hard the crew worked! From the time we got there they did not stop working, they were very helpful. There personalities were very entertaining and welcoming. We had Rita and we absolutely adored her she was very sweet to my kids and she was very informative. Go you won't regret it!

White water rafting

The staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.  The WiFi worked and there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Coffee was available in the lobby.  The bedside cabinets had built in 3 prong outlets which are a nice feature.  Breakfast was simple but relatively complete.  Plenty of parking and good access to the highway although it is some distance to dining establishments

Nicely renovated with considerable improvements

My stay was horrible. Was put in a room that you could see had been forcibly opened. They door damaged with such a gap, you could see the hall lights.  Bed cover was stained, bathroom floor was dirty.  I was told they tend the roads well around, with a winter storm approaching that night.  I stayws with my teen dogs that are well beyond house broke, wake me up to go out, if needed.  The next morning, first thing I step out the door and slip and hurt my back, my son slipped off the walk and stepped,into the road.  I slip arpund to the front to get out and get my deposit, this woman left to inspect after asking me ten ways if the dogs were secured...as if she was scared.  My dogs were in the truck.  She comes back and says come with me....i said, no, I hurt myself on the walk, it hurts, I'm not walking down the hall.  She started to say there was a deposit on the floor.  I said, absolutely NOT!  She started stammering and said something was there and cleaned?!  I guess if cleaned like their bed cover or bath...it's their problem and they are taking MY money to compensate.  I just read another review, that said the same.  What a way to steal from hard working people. Shame on this trashy motel.  For the extra $50 they tool, I should have stayed at a nicer place.  Upset and now injured and feel robbed.

Poor conditioned motel

Clean but a bit on the smallish side. Check-in and check-out clerks were quite nice.Location is hard to miss, right on the main highway.  In a pretty much industrial/agriculture area, so not really quiet area.  Inside the room it was ok.

Two people and a dog.

Everything was great but the lack of breakfast fresh fruit and sandwiches and muffins The coffee was great Orange juice with great cereal was good milk was good also the lack of a hot breakfast only thing they head for hot breakfast was waffles.

Colorado Retired

Me and my family came in around midnight on a Tuesday night and was charged 95.00 when the room was advertised for 72.00 it was late and I already drive 8 hours and worked all day. Room was average breakfast edible 

Over charged

We have stayed here several times in the last three years.  The staff is very friendly.  The rooms are keep clean, and the bathrooms are always clean.  I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a room in Dalhart Tx.  

Staff and Property

I have a real “pet” peeve, and that is when you walk into a so-called, pet-friendly motel and you are asked to fill out all sorts of forms, pay a pet deposit, and the staff eyes your pets like the demons from hell. You are then told that you must get a clerk in the morning to check your room out before you can have your deposit back. 

My two little girls are less than 10 pounds. To date, they have never made a mess in a motel room. However, we go through all the rituals because we know not all pets behave themselves and not all pets owners are responsible. 

Now I take responsibility for part of this as we always check our rooms out before we pay for them. But tornadoes and thunderstorms were all around us when we checked in, so we didn’t take the time to check the room out first. 

The spread on one of the queen beds stunk; it was immediately removed from the bed and I verified the sheets were clean. There was a potty stain from a previous dog right in front of the television. It was dry, but I snapped a picture to make sure we weren’t charged for another dog’s accident. Then there was a bad spot right by the bathroom door where I will assume a male dog had lifted it’s leg as my little ones were constantly sniffing in that area. I finally got tired of the sniffing and had to scold them to stay away from that spot.

If there was any one good thing I could say about this motel was that it was fairly quiet. The rooms were quiet, but you were able to hear the door slam every time someone entered the motel.

Would I return to this Super 8? Absolutely not!!

Pass This One By

Our  family of 4 stayed here on our way to Colorado for Spring Break. It was clean, inexpensive and just what we needed .
For those of you like me who are worried about booking a room in an establishment with outside doors (motel), this is a hotel with interior hallways and doors. The hallways reeked of cigarette smoke but our room was non smoking and did not smell. They accommodated our request for a rollaway bed and the breakfast was adequate. What breakfast at a budget hotel is going to be really good, anyway? They had cereal, juice, yogurt and fruit and a waffle maker. 
It’s not fancy, but when you only need a clean bed and a shower this will do nicely.

Snow and Ice storm overnight... About 2:00 am power was reduced...Husband sleeps with a fan... Not enough power to even run it... Hope no one was on life saving medical equipment... No hot water... Would have thought they would have a generator big enough to power the building....No lights in hallways... Where was the emergency back up...?  At one point there was no power at all!!!
Manager/Owner put out breakfast food in his bare feet... Health regulations?  4 people behind counter... No attempt made to clear entrance or even put out salt/ice melt ... Very treacherous conditions getting to vehicle...Surely someone could push a shovel... Convenience store 3 blocks away was clearing sidewalks and putting out ice melt... Hallway was updated... Newer carpet and paint... Huge bare spot in the carpet when you walked into the room...hmmm what happened!!!
