Absolutely gorgeous B&B in the heart of Ambleside. I booked for two nights in the cosy double room and it was ideal. Comfy bed, clean room, gorgeous view. The breakfast was perfect both days. Kate went above and beyond to make our stay a good one. We will definitely return.

It was en-suite with a massive double bed the room was over looking the street it was spotlessly clean with plenty of team and coffee Tv and lots of information about local activities.Very good cooked breakfast with plenty of choice of cereal and fruit.
Only met Kate but she’s a really lovely person and so helpful.

This is the second time I have stayed here and I will definitely be returning. Kate is so welcoming and a great brain to pick on the surrounding area. The house is immaculately kept and you can sink into the beds - just what you need after a long day of activities. Breakfast is absolutely delicious and has a great choice - my friend had a vegan breakfast which looked great. And located right in the centre of Ambleside so perfect for exploring. I’d highly recommend!

We spent a weekend at 2 Cambridge Villas with 3 in our party and our experience was first rate and I would book again without hesitation.  The hosts are very welcoming from the moment you book through to the goodbye.  For example they gave us suggestions on hikes that were nearby .   Their place is a prime location in Ambleside - close enough to access shops and restaurants but not too close to be bothered by the traffic.  We parked our rental car (their arranged parking was easy to get to and the walk back to their place most enjoyable ) and basically spent the next 48 hours on foot taking in the trails and lake experiences (and the town).  The breakfast is fresh. locally sourced and delicious - and the dining room makes you feel like you're at home.!  The room was bright and very clean - really -- we've travelled a lot over the years and this was an experience we agreed that we would come back to - except for longer.  Book here - you won't be disappointed.

We went as a family of 4 and our stay was great. No problem at all except we got a bit cold at night, but that’s it! Everything else was great. We got free parking just up the road courtesy of the b&b management and breakfast was also included, which wasn’t mentioned on the initial booking. So bonuses all round really!

We thoroughly enjoyed our short break at 2 Cambridge Villas in Ambleside. The host, Kate, was friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent. The location was a convenient starting point for walks around the town and beyond. The parking permit for a nearby car park meant that we could enjoy days out on foot without any parking fees. Overall, excellent value for money.

A wonderful B&B and Kate is a fantastic host, everything is thought of. The breakfast was superb and a great choice of fruit, cereals, juices to compliment the hearty English breakfast, much needed after the previous days hiking. We will return for sure. 

Good stay in ambleside. Lovely breakfast and a lovely clean room. From when we arrived to when we left. Kate was extremely helpful and very welcoming. Thank you again for a lovely stay. If we come back to Windermere, we would be staying here again.

A B&B that is more like a boutique hotel. We were welcomed like family and treated as such throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Kate. Our family room on the top floor was beautifully designed and decorated. Every aspect of a stay had been considered. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The shower was powerful and the toiletries smelled divine. Tea & coffee making facilities, along with tasty biscuits, added to the all round high level of quality and comfort. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order with fresh fruit and cereal. Everything to set you up for a day of walking, climbing or sightseeing. We will most definitely be back to stay. Genuinely could not fault our stay, out hosts or the B&B faculties.

The b and b was lovely and clean . Breakfast was fantastic and the owners were very welcoming and nice . Would definitely recommend this b and b

Excellent 2 day stay.

Amazing B&B

Exceptionally welcoming, clean, courteous and warm - and fantastic location!

We were welcomed warmly by Kate and our room was ready, it was small the bed was comfy , tea and coffee in the room, we didn’t realise the shower cubicle was in the room along with the sink but was ok. The breakfast choice was excellent and cooked and presented really well. 
The hotel is in a good central position for Ambleside the free parking is about 5 minute walk away at the local football club. 
We will definitely return throughly enjoyed it .

Kath was very friendly and made us welcome with a delicious homemade traybake which was a lovely personal touch. The room was beautiful and immaculate. Breakfast was delicious too. The Guest House is opposite a beautiful park with crazy golf, play area, tennis and tables for picnics. Its central to everything and round the corner from the bus stop so no need to drive.Highly recommend
