The Horton Inn

Food was absolutely delicious, very friendly staff who welcomed us and our dog.  Perfect lunch.  Would definitely recommend.  The menu had a great variety and having a dog menu was a great gimmick which she enjoyed it too.    Will definitely be back

Cheap and cheerful, friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and tidy, top end of what I’d expect at this price point. 100% would stay again!

Lovely country Inn with very friendly helpful staff and comfortable spacious rooms.

Sunday lunch was very good.  Well presented.  Good selection of veg - carrots, pparsnips, red and green cabbage and leeks - with plenty of potatoes. Lots of hot gravy.  Staff were very friendly and attentive. 

Selection of starters and desserts was small but adequate.

Excellent Sunday Roast.  We were a party of 6 and the roast lunch exceeded our expectations.  The meat was cooked perfectly and was served with a good selection of vegetables. We will definitely all recommend Sunday Roast at The Horton Inn and book again.

We have a family meet up here once or twice a year for about a dozen of us.
They are always accommodating. It's easy to book and we have great service and choice and standard of food. I usually pre - order so it makes it easy all round and the food is served promptly

Spent two nights in this delightful Inn . All the staff were friendly , cheerful and helpful . Nothing was too much trouble. My room , with ensuite,  was spotless and warm , with a good choice  of tea , coffee and biscuits on offer . Very comfortable bed , and although situated on a road junction , there was no traffic noise at all . Delicious breakfast from a varied menu .  I will definitely stay again when next in the area. Thank you Horton Inn .

Superb place . Warm, friendly and staff  knowledgeable of Dorset .. Thomas Hardy etc.. a real find 👏

Staff were amazing and really helpful, nothing was to much for them and always happy to help. Food was amazing. Would highly recommend them.

Somfortable and friendly

Very reasonable accomodation for a working trip, comfortable and well supplied.
The food, very impressive, we had the steak option and while we could be picky about the quality of the meat, it, and every thing else on the plate was perfectly cooked and presented,,, I couldn't have said what was the best part!
Just yummy! Come and enjoy :-)

Tasty dinner

Stayed overnight at the Horton Inn as I had an early appointment the next day. There was plenty of parking space and the check-in was friendly and efficient.
The room was clean and well decorated. The bed was comfortable and extra heaters were available, very cosy on a cold night. 
The en-suite bathroom is clean and modern. 
I had a very good nights sleep.
In the morning I had a delicious cooked breakfast and the staff were warm and friendly. All in all, the Horton Inn is great value for money and I will be back next time I am in the area.

Lovely overnight stay

Booked a 2 night stay at the Horton Inn. Friendly welcome and immediately became clear how dog friendly the place was. Room was relatively clean not spotless but more than adequate. They had called to inform us that no food was being served on our 2nd day/night due to staffing issues. Breakfast (which was included in the room rate) was excellent. First night we both had the "Horton Classic Burger" which was well cooked and very tasty with good fries. My only comment is that a crisp iceberg or little gem lettuce would have been better giving some crunchy texture. All in all would thoroughly recommend the Horton Inn especially to those with four legged friends 

Lovely dog friendly country inn

Lovely Father’s Day lunch at The Horton Inn today and so nice to see so many vegan options on the menu. Really refreshing to go out for a family lunch and be able to order off the main menu like everyone else! Great, friendly service and good baby changing facilities. Also very welcoming to our noisy dog! Would definitely go back

Lovely vegan options and great service

We  went to the Horton Inn yesterday with our club of 38 people.  It was superb.   The staff managed so well, the service was excellent, the food delicious and well prepared; how they managed to do it so well, for so many was extraordinary.  I would highly recommend the Horton Inn for great coffee, really good pub food and a nice friendly atmosphere.   The car park is also easily accessible and very large.   Highly recommended.

Managed a club booking of 38 people perfectly!

Stopped on the way back from a day out, decent menu  with not so many items which always make me feel good as I know that the kitchen will actually concentrate on those items but a very ample choice.
The highlight for us was a very young blonde lady behind the bar, sorry don’t know her name, even though an item was only for lunch, when I explained the challenge that one person in our party was unable to chew properly due to disability, she just went and asked the chef and made it happen!!! This on a Saturday night! Soo thankful, this very young lady is an asset to your business!! Please thank her from us! A great and enjoyable experience!

Lovely place and super fantastic staff

We came here as a group of four for Mother’s Day. The staff were superb and were working so hard with a ‘happy to help’ attitude, which really does make an enormous difference to the whole experience of eating out. The food was scrumptious and the setting is lovely. I am soon to be moving to the area and I look forward to visiting regularly. Thank you for making my first Mother’s Day so memorable.
