We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday. Jason is an excellent manager & host.our bedroom & en-suite bathroom were 5 stars. It was a large size, clean & very comfortable. The breakfast we had was absolutely delicious. All in all, highly recommended.

A comfortable and stylish hotel with great artwork in the room.  Excellent facilities including a large bath and powerful shower.  Especially enjoyed daily pastries and fresh milk on the welcome tray.  The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and made us feel very welcome.  The breakfast was well cooked with lots of choices.  The hotel location was central with good access to all amenities.  We would definitely stay here again.

Boutique B&B, spotless room/bathroom/dining room, modern decor throughout, comfy bed so a great night’s sleep (can’t remember which room we were in but the one with George on the wall so uber quiet), tasty breakfast and a convivial and engaging host. What’s not to like. No parking but the offsite is a good golf shot away and the cost isn’t overly expensive. Highly recommended.

We were bowled over by decor and comfort of Swain House. There were many extras in room such as Flemish waffles,  fresh milk, proper coffee, sulphate free luxury washing products and more.  The breakfast was of high quality.  The Covid restrictions were applied assiduously. And the hosting was excellent

You can walk along the Mineral Line to Dunster
The SW coastal path the other way goes to Kilve. 
The SW coastal path is Jurassic and brimming with fossils

A bus runs up and down the coast reliably.
And there is the station and trains running on select days, steam or diesel.

A few reasonable places to eat in town

We’ve had the most amazing stay here. Situated right near the marina. 
Lovely Indian restaurant within walking distance and very friendly pubs in this quaint town. 

Beautifully equipped rooms and fantastic breakfast. 

Jason has been a great host, we will definitely be coming back.

Stayed in the room in the picture last night. Stunning B & B very tastefully decorated and comfortable.  I thoroughly recommend staying there.  Had a problem trying to find somewhere to eat as all restaurants fully booked which I think could have been helpful if in advance the B & B owners could have advised on in terms of booking in advance. 

Loved this B&B - everything we needed was there and the rooms were comfy and stylish. The owner has a quiet charm and makes you feel very relaxed. Delicious breakfast with lots of choices. Great shower, bathrobes and luxury toiletries. Liked the range of tea and coffee and daily biscuits. Very convenient location for us to complete the first stage of the South West Coast Path (Minehead to Porlock Weir) as Minehead is only a short drive.

Fabulous, spotless, and stylishly decorated; very friendly and accommodating host, and very impressive breakfast. Safety measures were reassuring and small, personal touches were much appreciated. Would recommend for couples or solo travellers without hesitation.

Stayed for one night and can highly recommend it. Comfortable bed with large bedroom and bathroom and a bounteous breakfast. Swain House sets a high standard for other  B&B’s in the UK to aspire to.
Located in the charming little Marina town of Watchet. Would certainly return

Everything about this plce is a delight, from the very warm welcome (thank you Annie), to the beautifully appointed, scrupulously clean room, to the comfortable bed with crisp but soft sheets, fluffy white towels in the stylish bathroom, this is a just a lovely gem of a place. Covid restrictions meant breakfast is delieved to your room, and this again was another suprise and delight moment, delivering what is actually a simple breakfast served in such a beautiful and stylish way. Well done Annie and Jason, cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Boutique luxury lies within

Annie and Jason have done a superb job with this lovely B&B. It's stylish but comfy, and the attention to detail is wonderful. Comfortable bed, a lovely, deep bath, walk-in shower, and high-end bathroom products. Breakfasts were fab! Watchet is very sweet and fairly quiet, and swain House is a fantastic base to discover the surrounding areas. We went to the North Devon Coast and Dorset - all in an hour or so drive - as well as the beautiful surrounding areas. Easily the best B&B I've stayed in. Highly Recommended!

Stylish and comfortable.

We just spent two day’s at the Swain House. We were very impressed. The host was such a nice person. Very clean room, 
The swain House is in a great location.
It is definitely a must for anyone who wants to stay in the area.
We will use the Swain again and recommend anyone to this nice quite and clean hotel

Relaxing, Clean, Good location

After having our holiday in Mallorca cancelled, we looked around for somewhere to visit for a few days in the UK.  Luckily we found this beautiful B&B.  Stunning decoration and a large and comfortable room. Due to Covid we didn’t have the usual full English breakfast, but had a continental breakfast delivered to our bedroom every morning. Totally delicious!   The B&B is in a great location right in the centre of the town.  No parking on site but we were on a motorbike and there was free parking just round the corner which was ideal.  As for Watchet, we knew nothing about it before we arrived and found it to be a lovely little town. Some nice antiques shops although a couple seemed to be closed all the time!  Only issue we found with the town was the lack of decent eateries/pubs.  We ate at the Spice Merchant which was good but apart from that there isn’t a lot in the town.  All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend Swain House.

Beautiful B&B

We hastily booked ourselves into this boutique B&B, following the reluctant decision to cancel a holiday in Spain due to the developing Covid crisis, but we were certainly not disappointed one jot with this little gem of a find. We were warmly greeted by the host/owner, Jason Robinson who explained how our stay would work, given all the restrictions and we then went up to our room. This was a back room, so whilst there wasn't much of a view, it more than made up for it with a large airy space, nicely furnished, with a modern decor and one of the best bathrooms I've seen in many a venue.  It was away from the street so we didn't get any noise either. A varied continental style breakfast was served on a tray to our room each morning. Inside the room we had all he usual benefits plus some nice beverage options, along with fresh milk in a flask. We had a very relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable stay and would certainly recommend you look them up and book to stay there. Jason was the perfect host and nothing was ever a problem, as he was always on hand and very attentive to our needs.
