Emma is a fabulous host. Friendly, amenable and nothing was too much trouble. The house and it's setting is stunning and it's well located for North Norfolk attractions.  Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Thoroughly recommend.

Loved my stay at this stunning manor. The  location is perfectly placed. I’ve already recommended to my friends and family. Service was impeccable and my room was very tidy on arrival. If you’re in this area I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. 

We stayed in the superior room,very large comfy bed and big ensuite. The view from our window was amazing,the owners horses and nothing but countryside, so peaceful and relaxing.  Emma is a great host and her breakfasts are lovely. We felt lucky to be able to stay in this  wonderful old house. Would definitely recommend. 

Wonderful BB perfect spot to stay for the coast or the rural countryside, lovely room and super breakfast tranquil and peaceful with wonderful views and lovely village. i will be back in september...Adam

i am a returning guest at Emma & Tim's beautiful Manor House. You know you are at a good place when your hosts let you have a stable for a tired horse after a long day riding the Peddar's Way. Every aspects of our stay were perfect, from a comfortable bed, delicious breakfast to interesting conversations with Emma and her family. Thank you so much!

We stayed at  the Manor house b&b 26th June 2021 for a week till 3rd July 2021 it was lovely peacful relaxing out in the middle of nowhere yet only 8 miles from King's Lynn 30 minutes from Hunstanton. Emma our hostess she's great bless her nothing to much trouble well recommend this hide away for anyone wanting something a little different many thanks Emma. David June xx

We stayed 25-28th June in a superior room with a great view of the grounds and countryside, the ensuite is larger than some other hotel bedrooms!. The house is a short walk out of Castle Acre, (be aware there's no pavement and youll need a torch at night), but its also within easy reach a number of tourist attractions by car.  Emma is a great host - within minutes you think you've known her for years which makes the stay all the more relaxing. Breakfasts are taken leisurely - we enjoyed chatting with other guests at the shared dining table. As other reviews have said, the scrambled eggs are excellent but then so is everything else. 
We ate at the George & Dragon each night as we could walk there and this too is definitely recommended. 
The circular walk is a must but take Emma's advice and take an OS map!! (We ended up walking an extra few miles as we missed a turn)
If we find ourselves back in west norfolk we will most certainly book again

Stayed for 2 nights in the Manor whilst visiting family in the village. Building has a Victorian feel. View from Superior room was superb. Emma the host was welcoming and more than helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and plenty of choice/options. Room was very spacious as was bathroom. Shower very good. 
All in all, a special place to stay. I would love to visit in summer when it would be great to sit out front with a glass taking in the view.


We received a warm welcome from Emma on arrival. Once we had been taken to our spacious, and exceedingly comfortable room, we were given nice cup of tea and homemade flapjack. 
Our room had a comfortable super king bed, a two seater sofa, wardrobe, chest of drawers and a dressing table and there is still plenty of room to move around in. There is also a spacious en suite bathroom.
There is also a comfortable and roomy lounge/breakfast room to relax in. There is a hearty, delicious breakfast to start our day.
Emma is a wonderful host, and made our stay one to remember. We will come again.

Lovely house, comfortable, great breakfast and very friendly and attentive host, Emma.  Good,quiet location within walking distance of village and village pub, chippy, mini market .... what more can you want!?!?

So happy we chose The Manor House. Emma is a wonderful hostess, she welcomed us with tea and cake. The house is beautiful, the views are absolutely stunning. This is the perfect place to relax and recharge.
Breakfast is delicious, the scrambled eggs are yummy! 
Loved the dogs... They are very friendly and well behaved...

Perfect in every way.

So glad I chose the Manor House for two nights.  The view from my room as I pulled back the curtains after a quiet night's sleep was to die for.  A green pasture, with two lovely horses posing,as for a photograph, under a solitary tree, with a tranquil vale stretching out to the horizon. English countryside at its best.
After a stroll around the grounds, where the only sound was birdsong and the occasional bee, an excellent breakfast was served in a large,high ceilinged, beautifully dimensioned room with lovely views over the aforementioned countryside.
The six mile circular footpath mentioned in all the tourist guides passes not far from the house (a few minutes by car with room to park, though walkeable for the younger) and if you don't feel like the six miles, there are some charming stretches running alongside an idyllic small chalk stream, with pools where children may play.
The lady of the house, Emma, was very helpful with her local knowledge and most solicitous for our well-being.
Staying at the house was like visiting some welcoming rich relatives; the house is full of ornaments from bygone ages and has that wonderful sedate atmosphere that can only be achieved in an old mansion. 
As you may have noticed, I enjoyed my stay!
Footnote: I was surprised to read a couple of negative comments on TA.  Ignore them! Somebody complained about the three little dogs; I am not a great fan of our canine friends, but this trio were perfectly behaved, did not once importune me and certainly never tried to come into my bedroom, nor even to accompany me on my early morning strolls.
Conclusion: a great find and a place to return to.

If you are an aficionado of "The Archers", well, staying here would be as I imagine staying with Elizabeth Pargetter. If that means nothing to you, well, if you are lucky enough to stay here then you'll basically be a house guest in a charming English manor house, set in its own grounds, *not* the usual "B & B" experience in the slightest.

As a result, it's an "experience", a peek into a style of living most of us are not accustomed to, however Emma the lady of the manor is welcoming and attentive and one does not feel that one is intruding into the household. 

The surrounding countryside is gorgeous; I recommend doing the 6 mile circular walk, but starting at West Acre then walking round so that after 5 miles you come to Castle Acre, where a pint of "Ostrich" at the eponymous pub, together (if there are two of you) with the seafood platter is well recommended. All three nearby pubs (Ostrich / George and Dragon / The Stag) do good food and beer.

As you can hopefully tell, we had a lovely stay here and would love to come again. Ignore the review of "Cheryl" below, someone with only one review to their name may not be the most reliable of witnesses, and her account of her stay differs so much from mine that the verisimilitude has to be questioned.
