Very clean , very friendly stall , very near sea front

Room was the cleanest I have ever stayed at, location was very good, only issue was traffic seagull and  people noise at night, windows were single pane and earplugs are a must if  you are in a room facing the street. Daily room service was great.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. The hotel has been tastefully renovated & is in a great location - not too far from the sea or the town centre. 
Our room was spacious & beautifully furnished,& the whole establishment was immaculately clean. 
We pre ordered breakfast & this was tasty and cooked well. 
A parking permit is provided for guests to park free on nearby streets. 
Adam & Tip are excellent hosts, & baby Jasmine is such a little sweetheart! 
We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Palace Hill 😊

2nd visit this year to the lovely Palace Hotel. Adam and Tip are fantastic hosts, can't do enough for you. The bedrooms are spotless and are cleaned every day. Breakfast is delicious  cooked to order, you make your choice the day before .

The hotel is ideally situated at the bottom of the main shopping street just up from the seafront and the Lifeboat Fish shop.

The Merchant Irish bar is just up the road and has a singer on a Saturday afternoon from 4pm and also entertainment on a Saturday and Sunday Eve. A nice place for a drink after a walk to Scalby Mills and back on Marine Drive. 

We won't stay anywhere else but the palace. Hope to see you next year

Gorgeous little hotel located just off the sea-front so great for all the touristy stuff. Very warm welcome and the room was spotlessly clean and cosy and warm. Would have loved to have tried the breakfasts as I bet they would be awesome but the owners Adam and Tip had a beautiful little baby so not on offer for this year. Teeny tiny little negative was the size of the bathroom but totally understandable in a property of that age and history behind it. Would def visit again. Excellent value for money.

Another lovely stay 

Well what can we say, other than what we say every year…just an absolutely amazing place to stay in Scarborough. A true little gem in Scarborough. The rooms are just so modern, clean and comfy. Cleaned every day. The beds are amazingly comfy and the room soo warm, which is lovely to return to on a September night. 
Adam & Tip,  are without doubt, the best owners you can wish for. Always so welcoming, helpful & always time for a chat. Then the best thing.. beautiful baby Jasmine 🥰. She is so beautiful and perfect and we could not be happier for Adam & Tip. A new family of 3 now running the Palace and baby Jasmine is the new queen of the palace 👸🏼 🥰 . Congratulations to you both. Thank you for another wonderful week. We cannot wait to return next year.

Just The Best

Lovely hotel although the room was a bit small there was plenty of space to put our things away,we were very happy with our stay there our room was cleaned everyday with fresh towel’s. At first we couldn’t get internet in our room so we went and spoke to the owner he put the router outside our room, we felt like he went the extra mile to please the customer I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Scarborough as it is in an ideal location .

Lovely hotel

Just returned from a fabulous stay at this hotel, we were greeted upon arrival by Adam who was vey nice and accommodating. The hotel is situated just one street back from the seafront which took less than 1 minute to walk to. 
The rooms were stunning and spotlessly clean with nice little touches such as bottled water tea coffe and nice biscuits. The bed was super comfy and the en-suite beautiful. Woukd highly reccomend this hotel the merchant Irish bar was just across the road and had live music every night, there are loads of places to visit nearby such as museums and the walk arw amazing.
Looking forward to returning in the near future and won't be staying anywhere else other than the Palace hill, thanks for a wonderful stay.

Brilliant stay 5 stars

Stayed for 2 nights on a work trip. Alex and Tip were great hosts, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are compact due to the nature of the building but immaculate and with everything you could possibly need. 
Breakfast was cooked to order after choosing the night before and was fresh and tasty. Thank you for making us welcome.

Just arrived home after a 2 night stay here.
What a lovely place to stay.
Owners so welcoming and nothing too much trouble.
The room was pristine and serviced both days of the stay.
The complimentary refreshments and toiletries were also a lovely touch.
The breakfast which you choose the day before was cooked freshly and presented so well. It was delicious

First class stay

Chose this hotel on location and previous reviews and wasn't disappointed.  Welcomed warmly check in quick and efficient. Room spacious clean and comfortable.  Breakfast was lovely and our hosts were very attentive.  The hotel was 2 minutes walk to the sea front and 5 minutes to shops.  Although on a hill I have arthritis and managed. I would definitely recommend this hotel and most definitely would return
