Classic Guest House

We stayed in the Classic Guest House for Christmas Day 2021. It was incredible. The really beautifully personal touches made the day something really special. We have an extended patchwork family and everyone felt so Welcome and included. The hosts were so thoughtful in everything they did. From ensuring we sure there early to experience the whole Christmas experience: for homemade Swiss bread and roast ham; gift giving with their own families; getting comfy in matching Oodies. All the things that made it such a personally special experience. To add to that, the hosts kids were so incredibly welcoming and accommodating of our little toddler. She can be pretty demanding, but they really took the time to include them in everything. She loves them so much and cannot wait to visit again. The food was prepared by another guest and was spectacularly good, and the host complimented that with excellent drink pairing. The meal was prefaced by the most touching toast from a very special family member of the hosts. It brought a little tear to my eye. We ate and drank far too much, but there was little we could do to resist such incredible festive catering! After dinner, we were invited to join in some jokes. Not all of them great, but that was part of the charm. As the evening got later, we had some really lovely conversations and we felt we had genuinely met some new life long friends in the other guests. The night ended with music and laughter, as we helped build a drum kit and battered away on it whilst telling funny stories. Such nights are what life is all about, and I cannot thank the hosts, guests and everyone there enough for making Christmas 2021 an incredibly special one. 5 stars, will visit again. ❤️
