The Alexander Guest House

Stayed here for two nights with a 8 year old and 20 month old. Had room number 5 on the first floor. We managed to park out the front but there was only one space due to the skip on the driveway. It comes on a first come first serve for parking. Arrived and had passcode for key lock emailed to us but we did use the ring door bell to speak to someone. Room was basic but clean and tidy. Bedding and towels were very clean. Basic shower and bathroom on suite. We had two good nights only heard a little noise from doors people walking up and down the stairs. We walked into Edinburgh city centre both days and took us about 30 minutes to get to the castle. The bus links are great into the city the kids loves the double decker bus. Good base whilst staying in Edinburgh had everything you need for a comfortable stay.
