Wife and myself stayed end of June for the weekend and had a pleasant stay Robert the owner told us loads of things to do and see. We had a sea view room up in attic which was a good size with comfy bed had a good sleep room had the usual tea coffee sachets that got filled every day which was good cuppa first thing. Hotel is in a good location not in the centre but 5 minute walk in so no noise even from the pub next door Marky Dans which we used and had a good night in.There are boat trips from oban which are easy to book if you want a wee sail we did Iona and a trip round the Oban Distillery highly recommended. Would use this place again.

Nice weekend

My wife and I visited 17th to 19th August.same room.as last time,standard, excellent,   host Robert is very friendly and helpful ,has plenty local knowledge, would recommend , on edge of Oban so nice and quiet with great views of Oban Bay,busses plentiful ,also a pleasant walk.into hub of things,has to be 5 +

Another  Great Stay

Just perfect! The hotel is very centrally located, we had a beautiful view of Oban Bay from our very clean and nice room. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. They know almost everything and share their knowledge generously: where to eat, which is the best whisky, on which of the nearby islands which path is the most charming... We would come back at any time and recommend the hotel without any reservation. Price-performance ratio is 100%.

Just perfect!

Stayed here for three nights and loved it. We had a top floor room with a sea and harbour view. Plenty of room and storage. Very comfortable and modern with everything you need. The owner is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful when offering suggestions for places to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.  We highly recommend this guest house for a trip to Oban and would not hesitate to book here again.

Fabulous guest house.

Spent two nights in the Sutherland House. Absolutely great value. The room was a good size and the owner and staff ensure it’s kept spotless. 

It’s in a great location and was easy to spot, you can’t miss it when driving into Oban. There’s no car park in the guest house but there’s a public car park right beside. It’s not very expensive. 

The owner is a font of knowledge on the local area and is extremely welcoming and helpful. 

My wife and I would definitely stay there again- Oban is a great place.

Fantastic

Brilliant place to stay. Robert and staff very helpful, friendly and keep the house cleaned every day. Great room with Seaview. Ideal location for ferries, eating out, walks and we even found free parking across the road. Thank you Robert.

Holiday

The most amazing welcome by owner along with a detailed rundown of all the great and chilled to go and spend your time here in Oban. My partner and i are having the most amazing time here would highly recommend to every party whether it be family, couples or if your just on your own. Room is beautiful spacious and as central as you need it to be. Dont hesitate just book!!!!

Weekend trip

Stayed here after doing the NC500 and thought we would finish by going to Oban which we love we managed to book the Sutherland Hotel and so glad we did . Robert is very welcoming and very knowledgeable gave me information on fishing trips and genuinely seemed interested in our trip when we are next in Oban I will certainly be booking here rooms are spotless and very comfy beds wish we could have stayed longer

Fantastic stay

My husband and I had an overnight stay here and it was a little gem. Spotlessly clean, comfortable room in central location. Host was very friendly and welcoming. Wish our stay could have been longer. Highly recommend and looking forward to visiting this place in the very near future. 

Lovely hotel

Very clean room, comfortable bed, tea and coffee replenished daily, perfect location and the host is very friendly and helpful making our stay easy and enjoyable. Just outside the door is a beautiful view and nearby some wonderful bars and restaurants and a nice walk along the sea front.
