We returned after 3 years to find Glen Lodge just as beautiful as we remembered. Last time we stayed in the Apple Loft and this time experienced the Grooms Flat. It was equally comfortable and cosy. Despite a wet few days we had a lovely place to come back to after long walks with our dog. Good shower, plenty of hot water, and comfy bed. Outside there was a sheltered deck, which had the weather been better would have been perfect for a peaceful drink. The gardens of the estate are magnificent. Location is perfect if you like to walk, half a mile to Porlock itself or up the valley beside a river to the moor.
