At highcliffe house you are treated to a touch of luxury as robert and Richard work their attentive magic to create a unique experience for your stay.
The house has a home from home feel and is a gem in a quiet location with lovely views of the coast.
The breakfasts are excellent and highly presented as is the customer service from both owners.
Our stay at highcliffe house was for our wedding anniversary and was a memorable experience.

We have just returned from 8 fabulous nights at Highcliffe House. Richard and Robert are the most charming hosts and looked after us so well. We loved the set up which worked so well for us. Breakfasts are an undoubted highlight, we loved the berries and parfait with mix and match approach to the cooked breakfast - all complemented by the wonderful breakfast china, a different set each day! Being so high up the views are spectacular. Access is fine if you follow the instructions. Our bedroom was very comfortable and roomy, with panoramic views. We slept very well and woke up to lovely sunrises. There are loads of fantastic walks you can do from Lynton and Lynmouth using the coast path both ways, and the walk to Watersmeet is not to be missed. We were amazed by the quality of the restaurants for a small seaside town. Follow Richard and Robert’s online advice and book in advance. It has been a difficult 10 months for me with lots of medical treatment. This was the perfect restorative break and just what we needed. We would not hesitate to recommend this to others and we are already thinking about when we can come back again. Thank you Richard and Robert.

We had the most incredible weekend a Highcliffe House recently ! I am lucky to have the opportunity to travel a lot and experience wonderful locations and properties all over the world of which Highcliffe House is one of my favourite. The breakfast is second to none, the rooms are impeccable, the attention to detail throughout the house is amazing and the warmth and hospitality we experienced will keep us coming back. Absolutely a five star experience.

Richard and Robert are charming and welcoming hosts at Highliffe House. Two things that really appealed to both my husband and I was the sheer quality and range of the breakfast on offer- it was truly a feast and the magnificent surrounds, both inside and out. We also had an amble to The Rising Sun bar nearby and this is a must for those wishing to experience Devon craft beers and local camaraderie. Overall our stay at Highcliffe was a highlight of our travels- and we will be back for more of Richard’s breakfast compote! 

Again another stay here and it wont be our last. Highcliffe House has consistent, outstanding accommodation with great hosts.

This continues to be our favourite B&B  where the service, attention to detail and comfort are superb. Rooms are well sized, beds so comfortable with quality linen and lovely fluffy white towels. There is even a snug hot water bottle for those colder days.

Robert and Richard are excellent hosts and it is like a home from home. We visited with a friend on this occasion who hadn't stayed before and she is smitten with it. 
It's like a group of friends staying together: all the guests talk to each other and generally you find yourselves enjoying the same restaurants in the evening. The hosts always have good recommendations and suggestions for new venues. For us the suggestions are spot on. 

It's ideally placed and once parked up,  with so many different walks from Lynton you can forget about driving until you leave.

This place certainly deserves all the awards and nominations. 
It's special. There are unexpected extras. Early booking essential to be assured of the dates/rooms you want. 



This is a beautiful property managed by Richard and Robert who were the perfect hosts during our stay. They served an excellent breakfast with amazing views over Lynton and the coast. A very relaxing place to stay close to everything. It was great to have  the opportunity for a quiet drink before or after dinner or an afternoon tea in a beautifully decorated drawing room with views. Our room was extremely comfortable and well appointed with options of personalized music and streaming services. We would definitely love to return on our next trip to England.

I have had the most amazing mini break again staying at High Cliffe House with Robert and Richard.  As always the attention to detail is just amazing, breakfast was fabulous, fresh fruits, local products.  The view across the bay is stunning.  Robert and Richard are amazing hosts nothing is too much trouble.  Thank you for my wonderful stay 

Mini break

Stayed at the beautiful Highcliffe House for 4 nights. We were treated like royalty and spoilt rotten. Receiving a hamper and tea and scones on arrival. The attention to detail and customer service was excellent. The room was immaculate, with a huge and very comfortable bed. We also had a balcony overlooking the sea, which was lovely to chill on in the mornings/evenings with a cup of tea. Breakfast was delicious. Take note of the extensive beautiful teacup collection. Thank you Robert & Richard for making our Honeymoon truly special.

Beautiful honeymoon destination 

We have just returned from a 2 night break and had a fantastic stay.  It is certainly a 5 star guest house! Our room was beautiful, with the comfiest and largest bed I have ever slept in.  The hosts, Robert and Richard, were so welcoming and friendly.   The breakfasts were great with a fantastic choice and topped off with a great view.  It is very well organised and with amazing attention detail.  Thank you both so much for a great weekend!

Highcliffe House receives so many amazing reviews - and I want to add another one to them. A massive thank you to Robert and Richard for an amazing stay - a wonderful welcome, a fantastic cream tea and one of the nicest and tastiest breakfasts I have ever had.
