Not much to say about this gem apart from book it! Nothing is too much trouble for Jules & Tony and the place is immaculate! Breakfast is perfect with good choices, location couldn’t be better with just a 5 minute walk into stunning Bourton on the Water. Jules is a perfectionist and makes that obvious with her attention to detail. Gardens are stunning and we were welcomed with tea and cake on the lawn on arrival. Thank you so much for a wonderful restful stay, I’m sure we will be back.

Just come back from a 3 night stay and would absolutely recommend to anyone.

The building and room was spotless and the breakfast choice and quality would be hard to beat.

The location is perfect as it’s only a short walk to the village and far enough away from the busy areas.

What warm welcome we received from Jules And Tony the Homemade cake and Cuppa went down we after travelling. The room was very spacious and spotless as well as the En suite  on arrival to our Room we were welcomed with a Bottle of Bubbly and a card as we are celebrating our 40th wedfing Anniversary this weekend  Breakfast was very well cooked and freshly prepared and it was plentiful. We stayed for 2 nights wish we had stay another night but we intend to return later in the year. We arrived as guest but left as friends Jules and Tony Thank You for a wonderful stay.

This was a 2 night break for 4 school friends who are now quite mature! We struggled getting twin bedded rooms but Christine came to the rescue when one of our party telephoned her. She was able to put an extra bed in each room which was very comfortable and a good night's sleep was enjoyed. We had a wonderful time in Bourton on the Water. A treasure hunt took us off the beaten track and we were rewarded with views we would not have found ourselves. Breakfast was generous and nothing was too much trouble for Christine and David. The dogs are an added bonus ..... really friendly!

We visited Bourton on the Water for the first time to celebrate my birthday and the welcome at Southlands B&B was great. Chris met us and gave us a tour of the dining area and we met their 2 beautiful golden retriever dogs who are very friendly snd well behaved. Chris gave us information about breakfast and the times to go down in morning. Very friendly and welcoming.The house was immaculate and & spacious. Breakfast was a choice of cereal or fruit to start with and a full English breakfast and toast and jam/ marmalade available too. Our room overlooked the car park and we had a lovely large shower. Very well maintained and we commented to Chris that this shower was the best we had used as water ran away very quickly! In other places we’ve nearly flooded bathroom due to poor drainage! Tea coffee and biscuits available in room. TV and WiFi. Plenty of wardrobe space. Able to come and go as you like, security lights in driveway and on property, short walk into town. A beautiful front garden with seating which in the summer will be a lovely sun trap, trees for those that need shade too. We were so impressed we have booked a 3 night stay in June for my partner’s birthday. Highly recommended.

We stayed 2 nights while on an 8-day hike through the Cotswolds.  Wonderful place, owner was very attentive. Full English breakfast, cooked to order, was included.   Beautiful facility and an easy short walk from the main part of the town.  We were there in September, and it did get a bit cool at night.  We couldn't find a thermostat the first night and inquired the next a.m. about how to make it warmer...the reply was that the heater was on a timer.  When does the timer kick in. I asked.  "October" was the answer.  Being from California, USA that was just one of the many things that we fell in love with during our delightful stay in the Cotswolds...ha.....

We spent 3 nights at Southlands, whilst exploring the beautiful Cotswolds.  It has a fabulous location,  a very short walk into Bourton.  Chris and Dave are fantastic hosts, really friendly and welcoming.  Chris served a great full English (you can choose what you would like) this is a charming traditional B & B.  Our room was well appointed, with a very comfy bed.

We were made to feel most welcomed by Chris and Dave on our arrival and throughout our 2 day stay at Southlands in Burton on the Water.

Southlands is a very clean and comfortable English home , very tastefully decorated with a beautiful English feel. We experienced Chris fabulous cooking with a delicious breakfast each morning.

We will  be recommending Southlands for any of our friends going to the Cotwolds. Should we come back to UK and Cotswolds we will definitely stay again.

I called on the off chance on my way from Lands End to John O'Groats just before Easter and Christine welcomed me, despite the fact that she hadn't intended to open as she and her husband had both been ill. I repaid her kindness by trying not to let the car drip too much oil on her drive - hope I got away with it!
I'll certainly stay there again if my wife and I are ever in that lovely part of the country - but we'll book well ahead in future.

Fabulous UK homestay experience

Lovely place, very helpful.

We really enjoyed our two night stay at Southlands, which was excellently positioned for a walk into Bourton on the Water. Hosts were very friendly and helpful with the added bonus of a beautiful 3 year old golden retriever called Harvey. Rooms were comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfasts superb and a great start to the day!

Great stay had by all!

We stayed for 2 nights  18th and 19th August.  Southlands is just a short walk to the village centre. We had a lovely, restful  stay. Our room was clean and quiet. We had a great breakfast. Cereal,  fresh fruit and cooked breakfast and a very nice, helpful host. We would definitely stay here again. Very soon i hope.
