Excellent food and staff. The staff were so helpful and friendly nothing was too much effort Stayed in our camper van in the car park no extra cost.views were amazing. Made to feel very welcome. Dogs are allowed and water bowls are outside in several areas.. sat and watched the amazing sunset.

We had an evening meal Saturday night, good menu selection,great food,reasonably priced,staff couldn't be more helpful.
every time we pop in for  a drink,more improvements have been made,do these people ever rest ?

We went today for tea at the lodge.we live 5 mins down the road,but have never popped in!
The restaurant had lots of lovely airy spaces to eat and the gardens were beautiful over looking the bay.
The staff were so lovely,the food was amazing.i had lamb and feta flatbread,hubby had gammon steak,but best of all were the hand cut chips....reminded me of good old fashioned chips that mum made as a kid.
Will definetly be returning😊

Myself and my partner visited on Sunday with friends. I haven’t been in years and definitely wasn’t disappointed.

The service was fast and the food was excellent. I had the prawns to start and they were full of flavour, I opted for the roast beef which was nice however it was slight overcooked for me but this didn’t put me off, it was still delicious! We had the hot chocolate fudge cake& biscoff sundae for dessert. I think it is value for money& I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!!

Such a great experience at Slyne Lodge. Service was excellent as-well as the homemade food. The Rump & Brisket Burger and the Chipotle & Lime Coleslaw was a hit on our table. The new management are certainly making a great first impression and the new paint work is very nice.

We ate at the Lodge restaurant for a birthday celebration. The food was superb. Our party of  8 thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We had roast dinners, sea bass, steak and the lamb shank.
The fish was cooked beautifully, the lamb fell straight off the bone and the roast dinners were plentiful and delicious. 
We would not hesitate to recommend the Lodge to anyone, as our dining experience was excellent. The current owners have done an excellent job, the Lodge looks amazing and feels so cosy and inviting. 
We will definitely be returning soon. 10/10

8 of us went for my wife's birthday tea and the food was excellent. Possibly the best roast beef dinner I've ever had. The portions were generous and it was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend. 

Apparently under new owners, we still think it's worth five stars for reasonably priced, good food and pleasant staff. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stop off for a meal. It's not far from the M6 as well, so it's a good alternative to a service station.

I recently had a meal here with 13 of my family members for my birthday and the meal and service was absolutely brilliant. The food was amazing, portion sizes were great, and price was spot on.  The team were so helpful and accommodating for booking and arranging everything. We will definitely be visiting again. 5*

As good as ever 

Stayed here pre-covid when it was still an up-market place to stay. As my son wanted to attend the recent Open Day at Lancaster University, I thought I'd book a family room for the weekend as a treat even though we only live an hour and a half away. At £169 a night, I stupidly expected it would be B&B and as classy as it used to be. No such luck ...

First thing, we got told they no longer offer breakfast (but they still charge a high price for room only). The food menu is overpriced and the supposed "homemade pie" isn't homemade - I had the exact same pie at a pub in Durham who don't claim it's homemade. Desserts are on a chalkboard you need to request to see (there is one portable one shared between the whole pub/Hotel and we were never offered this (we only found out by accident!) The waiting on staff were mostly inexperienced teenagers. There was a private party in on the 2nd night we stayed that we weren't notified about but the terrible DJ could be heard in our room (as could the creak of every floorboard from the guests upstairs). When other guests went for a shower, it sounded like a waterfall coming through into the bathroom in our room - I had to double-check more than once!). The beds were comfortable but the price DEFINITELY does NOT do it justice. I've had MUCH better service for MUCH less and it's not even in a decent location (£10 minimum by taxi).
