Fingal Edinburgh

Stayed here 2 nights while attending Foodie Festival 2022. Had a water-view room on the second floor (215) and it was lovely, slept with the window open and heard absolutely nothing but the waves lapping. Room was spacious, with 2 chairs and a small table between, placed near the window; a fan, 4 pegs for hanging wet coats as you come through the door, wardrobe area with hangers and shelves, 2 extra pillows, desk, free wi-fi, coffee, tea, a clean kettle, 2 real mugs, 2 real glasses, vanity mirror, and a small table on the bedside that didn't have a built-in table. Bed and pillows super comfy, absolutely terrific sleep. Bathroom was large and very clean, would prefer a hand-held shower but that's just my preference. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially when I went off and left my purse in the room and realising it 8+ hours after check-out, I had to come back and the manager on duty went up to the room (now in use) and found it exactly where I left it - tucked well up under the mattress (and before anyone thinks housekeeping should've found it, they wouldn't have unless they removed the mattress completely). Plenty of parking (remember to register your vehicle!) and Brewers Fayre next door, which I didn't use. Loch Fyne restaurant and bar is just up the street. Bus stop directly across from hotel, will take you up town to Princes Street. Highly recommend this hotel.
