We have experienced a delightful stay at Halwell Lodge B&B, spending two comfortable nights in the Luxury Double Room, well appointed and perfectly presented, looking out on a lovely garden.   Choices at Breakfast were very good and served in great style in a beautiful Dining Room-Conservatory with garden views.     Parking is secluded and secure.Our Hosts Tressa & Steve made us so very welcome that we will certainly stay again.   All together, a perfect and pleasurable experience and highly recommended.

Well located for St Ives (short train ride) and really comfy clean and calm accommodation.Didn't have the breakfast so can't comment

Halwell Lodge is beautiful.Hosts are discreet but friendly and helpful.Room and bed were comfortable and clean.Beautiful garden and easy (free) parking.The breakfasts were delicious!If you want a quiet stay away from the bustle of St Ives, this is it.

Tressa and Steve were very welcoming from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was amazing and we looked forwarded to it each morning. The family size room was perfect and we all slept like babies. We will surely be returning to Halwell Lodge.

We had a friendly welcome from Steve in this very pretty and tastefully decorated lodge, the breakfast was one of the best with locally sourced produce cooked to perfection and served by Tressa who was bubbly and fun to chat to. Thankyou both very much and hope to see you again.

We had a super stay at Halwell Lodge. We stayed as a family of three for a week and enjoyed our time there. The hosts Tressa and Steve are wonderful and chat with guests, providing tips and information about where to visit in the local area. The accommodation is beautiful and eating breakfast every day in the conservatory looking over their gorgeous garden and was so lovely. Breakfast is exceptional with great quality produce which is cooked to perfection and good portions (so sad to have to make my own breakfast when we get home). The lodge has a charming feel with art and plants providing a homely setting and the whole place smells gorgeous. Our room had a double and a single bed with plenty of wardrobe space and the bathroom boasted a huge freestanding copper bath which was a treat. Great off road parking for all guests. Easy access to St Ives by bus and taxi and there is local beach which is walkable called Porthkidney which is lovely. Would highly recommend Halwell Lodge.

Wow, what can I say other than perfect in every way. We were made so welcome from the moment we stepped through the front door. Our room was amazing with views overlooking the rear garden. Breakfast was fabulous. We can't recommend it enough and can't wait to visit again.

The hosts were wonderful, the property and rooms were quaint and beautiful, and the food was terrific! Top-notch BnB! We would plan our next trip to the area around staying there!

Memorable Family Holiday

Halwell Lodge is the perfect place to stay to explore Southern Cornwall. We loved the house so much. It was light and airy yet cosy. Tressa & Steve were the perfect hosts. They cooked an amazing breakfast and served it with a smile. They were happy to give advice about the local area. We would definitely stay there again

A wonderful stay for 2 nights in this well-appointed B&B on the outskirts of St Ives. Hosts Steve and Tressa were lovely - happy to chat, and we had quite a bit in common. The room was a bit small for our copious baggage - but because we'd asked for a ground floor, and had been warned by them, we were happy with it and especially the very comfortable bed. Our room was beautifully decorated, quiet and airy, and the bathroom was plenty big enough for us as well. Breakfast was a highlight in the conservatory - with a vegetarian alternative, which was a first in our travels so far. Very highly recommended as a base for exploring St Ives.

Perfect time

Halwell Lodge and its garden were absolutely beautiful and perfectly situated for visiting St Ives and West Cornwall.Our family room was stylish, modern, immaculately clean and spacious. We stayed for a week but there was enough wardrobe space for a fortnight.Breakfasts were always delicious and home cooked to order. Tressa and Steve were absolutely superb and couldn’t have done more for us while we were there.

Wonderful Family Holiday

Steve and Tressa open their home to their guests, offering the beautiful garden area for a relaxing repose and providing a delicious customized breakfast that will hold you over until dinner.  While the main attraction is St. Ives, a lovely, albeit touristy, coastal town with beaches, coastal trails, and a branch of the Tate Gallery right on the beach a few miles from the Halwell Lodge, it is tempting to just enjoy the comfortable house and garden, and have a meal or a pint at the the pub across the street, The Badger Inn, which is great for a Sunday roast.  

A lovely retreat just outside of St. Ives, Cornwall

We had a very clean room with a very comfy bed- room 1.  Smelt amazing in entrance area and room.  Lovely access to the garden and conservatory area, which we used in the evening to sit and have a drink outside.  
The hosts were so lovely and attentive and nothing was too much trouble! 
Great options with hot and cold for breakfast and catered very well for gluten free. Good sized portions for breakfast and offered hot drinks, fresh juice and fresh jams and marmalades in jars.  Great selection of tea and coffee in the room and used chilly's bottle for milk to keep chilled and more eco friendly than little plastic sachets which was good. 
Amazing quality bedding and towels and good shower.  They provided an information book which was a helpful addition. Free parking on site and checked us in early which was great as our room was ready.  

Great location to St Ives with a 10 minute bus journey- around £2.40 return each. Bus stop just around the corner. 
 Would recommend to friends and family and stay again when next in the area!

Amazing stay

Almost perfect. Very clean and by first impression well organized with some thought to our comfort. 
This B&B is half way between St. Erth & St. Ives, little Hamlet called Lelant. If you take the train, (on the hour from Either side), you just request the stop from the Conductor. Bit of a hill from the train sub-station so a taxi from St Erth would do it if you have bags or suitcases.
Bit of a tip, bus is £1.60 but train for old folks like us is £2.20 with the senior railcard.
The owners don’t skimp on the quality or quantity of the breakfast. I personally like the fresh, home made croissants, and the full Cornish is a very substantial meal. There are other excellent choices all very tasty. I enjoyed the bacon, tasting like bacon.
The bed is the most comfortable of our trip, and the WC is small but functional with nice fluffy white towels on a warmer.
Little pub within walking distance called the “Badger” with very good lunches and mediocre suppers. The beer is very good and the Grigio is cold!
There is a garden & conservatory for guests
Plenty of parking for guests.
We will stay here again.

Wonderful Bed & Breakfast! Owners top notch!

Tressa and Steve very welcoming hosts and the breakfast is superb - all prepared to order with luscious fruit and fresh croissants! The local hogs pudding is really tasty.
The garden is beautiful and there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the surroundings.
Location is brilliant as the bus service to St Ives runs close by so great to leave the car behind and go by bus! Great walks too
We hope to come back!

Excellent Choice

Charming hosts.Wonderful locally sourced fresh food.A lovely garden.Everything is pristine.Off road parking.All the amenities are excellent at this property.There are local pubs that do food.Also public transport into St.Ives is easy with a bus stop just outside two minutes away.Also a train station 10 minutes away.Highly recommend.
