As part of our Trans Pennine Trail we booked this accommodation well in advance of our journey. We arrived early in the afternoon when the cafe had actually closed but we were given a very warm welcome and shown up to our ensuite room. Tea and coffee were available in the room.There was a wonderful view of the Pennines from our window.The only disappointment was breakfast as it was only available from 9 am and we needed to start our long trek to Peniston well before that time. However there was an excellent cafe just across the road.
