What a great place to stay a wonderful hostes with a very warming welcome. Good rooms at realy old but very nice inn with lots of history. Will book again

Friendly welcome, very good communal facilities (oven, hob, fridge freezer). Comfortable bed. Friendly welcome on arrival. Tremendous value and would stay again.

the property has a wealth of history on display ,it has plenty of querks which only add to its charm the guests have the run of the dinning ,cooking facilties and are not lorded over in rigsby fashon as in some establishments. The host is genuine and soical and is a pleasure to spend time with as are the staff ,on the whole a very pleasant and intresting stay .woulud i stay again ?without hesitation

It was a real treat staying in the Tree Inn. Constructed in the 13th century, I think this is the oldest building I’ve ever spent the night in. With a building so old there’s some things that are going to be kinda wild—curvy hallways and strange layout and stuff—but this is to be expected and is part of the charm. The host was great (I didn’t catch his name but he was cool) and the ambience was very good.

We liked the friendly staff and other pub goers and they served a good pint of bitter from the barrel  !We did nt like the lack of parking, room had no en suite, and only a bath in the shared bathroom, rooms had paper thin walls and you could hear conversations  as if they were in your room !Had to cook your own breakfast  from a shared kitchen. we felt we were staying in a youth hostel !

We were on a cycle trip Lands End to John O'Groats, and the hotel was fairly close to the route. We were able to get a meal at night and the breakfast was fine too. Hotel were able to offer safe and secure storage for the bike. The hotel is quite a historic building and could perhaps do with some refurbishment, but it had a nice touch of charm about it and the staff were very friendly.

The staff were warm and inviting, especially the proprietor Simon. The room was tidy and clean. The best was the 14th Century building with a carriageway entrance for a front door and nary a straight line or level floor board to be found. This is a rare gem. And, strange for such an old building, the best shower in all of Cornwall (hot and high pressure). I got to sample the new Indian cuisine that could soon be available at the hotel. I hope so. It’s excellent!

The Tree Inn is such a unique property, steeped in history, and truly feels like being transported in time, Simon and co have created a fantastic blend of contemporary modern whilst retaining the Ye Olde nature of the buildings interior and the exterior is as it was so long ago. The courtyard within the grounds is a fantastic place to dine and experience local ale, which is superb. Get your Tudor on, book a Trip and experience one of the oldest Inns in Cornwall...Bravo

No on suite bathroom but I didn’t expect a lot for £55 and half a days notice but what I did get was a clean twin room for my mother and me over a nice courtyard with a hospital welcome and free breakfast,I also got to enjoy that breakfast in the bedroom now dinning hall of the late Giant of Stratton Anthony pain the yeoman of Stratton which I thought was pretty cool, the locals seemed nice though a bit rowdy how ever I thought this added to coach house/highway man/ smuggler inn feel of the place and definitely a spot for ghost hunters and enthusiasts of the paranormal, thanks for your hospitality

What a find!  Brilliant little pub with rooms near Bude.  Loved Simon and Honey Rose, so friendly and welcoming.  I stayed in the single room, very comfortable and clean.  Absolutely loved the breakfast situation with a help yourself to the kitchen vibe.  Proper coffee machine, sourdough bread, bananas.  It’s great value, full character and a fab stay.

Authentic, real wooden wardrobe & chest of drawers, good sized bedroom, friendly service, plenty of tea & coffee products with electric kettle in room.  Really good breakfast  room & good chat with breakfast guests, friendly vibe, would not hesitate to stay here again.  Lovely courtyard with lots of lovely planted flowers, I had a peaceful time, can't wait to stay here again

If you love interesting buildings and friendly atmosphere and don't expect en suite and TV in the bedroom then this pub is perfect. An old world pub in an old world village - we loved it. To compensate for no restaurant you can use the kitchen and lovely little dining room -there is a great local shop and another pub just down the road and it has a lovely sun filled garden for evening drinks. Everyone so friendly - just don't expect Ibis, Holiday Inn etc-  It is much, much better!
