The location perfect, across the road from the beach and our room had a sea view. The staff are wonderful.
One word of warning, it is a rambling three-story building without a lift so be careful if you have mobility issues.

I tell you this is one of the most hidden secrets in Bognor Regis, the food was plentiful and really home cooked. Well done to all the staff, that made the Saturday night dinner fabulous. The Apple pie and custard was the best I’ve tasted for sometime. A thumbs up from me..

Monday morning breakfast. We have eaten here before, evening meal, so we thought we'd give an "independent" local a try fir breakfast. Not disappointed. Great, friendly service. Food was good. Highly recommend as great value for money. We will be back.

The staff and food were excellent. By the end of 3 months it felt like being with family.
The room was clean and comfortable. Dining area has a sea view with charts on the celling adding to the rustic charm along with all the nautical décor.

We stayed over the bank holiday weekend . Booked originally as we were going to Goodwood races but as behind closed doors we still decided to come and have a couple of nights away.. Lovely hotel nice and clean . Great service in the bar. Brilliant staff. Would definitely stay again

Exterior appearance is shocking! Tacky and worn with smokers everywhere, however, get past this and inside the interior is warm and old english pub like.
The crew are first class “ello darlin” types and very welcoming. Food is very good but limited to only two draught beers, Fosters and Kronenberg. Rooms are v clean and tidy with great views.
Parking is on the road outside and needs to be paid 0800to 1800hrs.
Very happy stay and very happily surprised. Will def stay here next time again. 

Everything about my stay hear was beyond perfection Everything from the great food to the clean and tidy room and the very friendly atmosphere and the excellent friendly an helpful staff what more could anyone want , also it a dog friendly hotel so my 4 legged best pal could have a holiday too , ow yea let's not forget the sea view . 

Love this place with very friendly welcoming staff and dog friendly.  Had a lovely lunch today which all 3 of us enjoyed service with a smile and reasonably priced. Nice touch was all ladies were given a bunch of flowers

Just returned from 2 nights at The Navigator Hotel. We had a lovely, spacious sea-view room with an enclosed verandah and an extremely comfortable 6' wide bed, hot, powerful shower and plenty of storage space. The Navigator has a cosy bar and a renowned restaurant open to guests and non-residents. Breakfast is served in the Chart Room  sea-view dining room and is cooked to order, plentiful and delicious. The hotel has a nautical theme and is very clean throughout. All the staff are cheerful, helpful and welcoming. Bognor centre is a 10 minute stroll along the promenade and parking outside the hotel was easy and free in January. 
Having been impressed with The Navigator in the past, we were looking forward to this visit and were not disappointed and hope to return again.

Highly recommended I booked this hotel just because it was the only place I could get with availability for the dates I wanted good location practically on the beach  town centre about 10 mins along the promenade. Room was more spacious than expected for the price paid £87 a night, great sea view only a road between your window and the beach. Our toilet was blocked up on arrival we mentioned it when we went out and it was fixed by the time we got back. The shower wasn't brilliant though but useable nice bottled toiletries supplied no bath not a biggie for me personally although my companion only uses a bath whether other rooms have baths I don't know. Do be aware that the rooms are up several flights of quite steep staircases. We didn't have a car with us but from what I could tell there's no onsite parking. Tesco is less than 5 mins away for those forgotten essentials and buses to Chichester stop just outside it. 

Lovely little budget hotel, highly recommended

Been in the past and been very happy.
So tried in the Winter and as in the past very good with good size portions.
They have now started doing 2 meals for the price of one so it was fairly busy, 2 for 1 is limited menu and certain times.
Friendly staff.
Sit by the window and you get a sea view.
Overall an enjoyable time and meal.


Lunch with a sea view.

On first impressions this place is a little run down and old fashioned, but the staff are so welcoming and friendly and bar full of locals, and Otto the dog who comes to visit each night before his owner arrives. This is a little gem. The rooms are not fantastic but certainly comfortable enough. The breakfasts are amazing and the restaurant is really good - much better than you would expect. If you are looking for a cheap hotel where you feel extremely welcome, this is your place

Surprising gem

Popped in for lunch, plenty of room and were said we could sit wherever we wanted.
We weren't rushed to order and the lady serving was really friendly and just said to take as long as wanted.
We ordered and a acceptable wait as cooked to order.
Food was very good and value for money.
Staff were friendly and made us welcome.
We had our dog with us and she was given her own bowl of water and a sausage on a plate without us asking, we were asked if it was ok to give the sausage.
We will return without doubt
Bonus is it's across the road from the beach.

Stayed one night staff friendly and helpful,  rooms are a bit dated but  clean they  had everything you need , good location,  breakfast was standard English tasty and hot, good pub right next door , on street parking 
Bognor had plenty of pubs and restaurants to keep us occupied,  and a nice promenade
