Visited the place with family. Decent place just outside Nuwara Eliya Town. Located just off the road in Katumana in the Nuwara Eliya Badulla road. Good accomodation with proper facilities. Also you have the option of getting food from the hotel or getting food cooked for our selves. Good food and the BBQ option is also available.
One point for improvement would be to give the place a bit of a renovation. Price is also resonable.

Nice Quit Place

I think for the price the hotel was ok. The staff was nice. I wished there was a heater in the room. It was so cold in the morning and in the evening. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special. What we found good, there was a Bus right in front of the Hotel.

Its a basic clean place, value for money is there, staff is very attentive,heaters are available on request, blankets are provided, the management is very flexible and can always request for a early check - in, on availability they will do    
will certainly go there again

Basic clean place

This is very small place. Service is friendly, but infra is very poor. Since the place is cold, we didn't try to change the hotel. Given a choice just avoid it. 

The key attraction is it is close to Indian mythology temple. 10 min drive. 

It was pouring all night. Managed to get room heater . Rooms big , but poor furniture. 



Sober place

It's a good place, but it's very far from downtown. It's uncomfortable on the bus, even though it's at the hotel itself. Especially on the way back to the hotel. You try to explain to the conductor where you need it. The hotel is new, everything is clean. There's WiFi. It's a normal continental breakfast.

We spent two nights in this hotel. Old-fashioned decoration, very wet rooms, bad smells, lukewarm water to cold. Fortunately the staff is friendly. We arrived late on the first day, they prepared us for dinner (very good chicken noodles and lentils).

The humidity...

Monrose Hotel is a cool place which is about 2kms away from the downtown and 1km from "Lake Gregory" Our stay was on a sunny day and the view from the room towards vegetable fields was great and the area is now crowded. The staff service is excellent  and that was the best Sri Lankan dinner we had on our trip. They have a budget rate on rooms, but still  following their standards. A good choice :)

Peaceful place with wonderful staff

It was really dirty. It was very cold and the mats smelled really bad. In general it was very dirty and sloppy. Para colmo is very far from the population. It is not at all recommended, it was the but place where we stayed throughout the trip to Sri Lanka, and that's what we used to stay in very simple guest houses. If I can avoid it, we won't return.

Beautiful building but very dirty hotel.

We booked with booking.com and upon arrival we were told that the guests of the previous day had not left and our room was occupied........trying to take us to the hotel of a concido, but we preferred to look for our lives ourselves.The next day the hotel informed booking.com as otherwise we would have been introduced.

No room for arrival!!!

We stayed at the hotel for 1 day at the end of April 2015. When we arrived, we were given a delicious tea with milk, we were placed in a room on the second floor with a beautiful view from the window. The room was clean, the bedding was also clean. The bathroom is typical for Lanka, there is hot water. There was a little chemical odor with a flower breeze, but it is plain. Everything else is fine, including breakfast.
