Star Light Hotel

We were in Sri Lanka for 2 weeks, and after staying on a beach front hotel we fancied a swimming pool so had a wander around looking for a nice hotel. We booked the hotel and after had a look at the Tripadvisor reviews and were not concerned but thought we might have rushed into booking it, however i've learned that people can be SO picky when writing reviews! The manager was so kind to us, all the staff were extremely helpful, the swimming pool was great. The food wasn't the best food we had in Sri Lanka - but it wasn't horrible, and it's easy enough to rent a mo-ped or get a taxi near other restaurants. The rooms are really spacious (albeit a bit dated but that doesn't bother us at all - everything was good quality) comfortable bed and TV, air-con and bathroom were all great. The manager really did make us feel welcome and made us feel like family during our stay. One night my boyfriend fell ill and straight away they sent us to the nearest speaking doctor, arranged transport there and back all for a good price and were very concerned and made sure he was feeling okay afterwards. It was a very relaxing hotel, and we will stay again as is it very reasonably priced!
