Our stay in Villa Nicomar was nothing less than perfect. After a late booking on my part, Wasantha hurried as much he could to make ut so that we could arrive that same day. He then picked us up at a restaurant and took us shopping. He even came inside with us, and helped us pick out good produce, since a lot of the vegetables, we didnt know what was. 
After a good night sleep in comfy bed, we woke up to see we had arrived in paradice. Surrounded by coconut trees, the Villa is totally private and a just few lazy steps away from the beautiful beach. The beach is pretty much a private beach. Only now and again, someone would walk by, but for the most part its just you and the wild dogs that are constantly working to establish their hierarchy. Nice entertainment if anything if you ask me. 
The garden is so wonderful to hang out in as well. There are hammocks that you can lay in and get some shade from those massive palm trees. 
 Wasantha did so much to make our stay wonderful. He even cooked amazing seafood curries for us. And we got to observe and learn about Sri Lankan cooking. Very interesting, and the result was just mouthwatering good. 
We got to see harvesting of the coconuts, where a 60year old man climed to the top like it was as easy as having a cup of tea. So impressive! And we then got offered coconut after coconut :-)

I could go on and on about Wasanthas hospitality, and his way to make you feel like the most important guest. He is simply a wonderful man and host. He also has a security guard/gardener that walks around the premises and help out wherever he can too :-)

Thank you again Wasantha. For making this the best holiday me and my boyfriend ever had!
All I can do now is live on the memories and belive that one day we will be back in paradice: Villa Nicomar. 


Paradice

we have spent 2 full weeks in this idyllic  place. and we are ready to go back for a longer period! 

A big open house with 2 not-too-big bedrooms and attached bathrooms. 
the main plus point of the house is the open space under a big roof, facing the huge garden and the sea. . this allows you to spend your days in the cool air and breeze. .  

we have rented the house for 2 - 3 persons, at a rate inclusive of breakfast and diner prepared by Sushanta, the cook who is a very nice person. We got what we wanted and it was very nice. 
But I think the best is to rent the place without food, and to pay for all the purchases made by the cook. You will be sure to have things that you like from day one, like big prawns which are an absolute delicacy (price 3000 / 4000 Rps / kg) . 
For breakfast, Sushanta can prepare coconut roties and dhals which is very very tasty and good! If you tell him nothing, he will prepare fried eggs and toasts only!!!
As there is no good coffee in Sri Lanka, I would advise you to bring your own coffee and also a coffee machine! 
Basically, Sri Lankan food is nothing great! and the little supermarket in the nearby town  has very little to offer. So, if you want to spend good time and have good food at Nicomar, bring your own basics and your own delicacies and Sushanta will be happy to use them!! dont forget your alcohol as well. . 

the huge garden and the coconut forest spread over 2 acres along the beach is simply great. It is well maintained by the gardener, but we had to request that the beach should be cleaned up as well. it was really not nice when we arrived, full of plastics... 
2-3 days later, a new garden caretaker was there and the beach was cleaned up. 

Wasantha, who is the manager of the property, is a very nice person, ready to help and accomodate the wishes and desires of the guests, and we thank him for his services. He can come to pick you up or drive you back to Colombo. 

Sushanta and the gardener live in a hut situated on the land. Therefore, you are not isolated and they are always ready to help. 

Wifi was working very well. Electricity as well. Water pressure was generally ok. 

We enjoyed a lovely weather in January, which is apparently unsual as it is a rather rainy month. The waves can be rather strong and you have to be carefull, though some days, it was rather smooth and easy to swim. 

frankly, there is nothing interesting to see around. So no need to waste time and money!! I would also say that there is very little to see in Sri Lanka !!! so the best way to enjoy Sri Lanka way of life is to rent this house for a long period !!! ...

Good privacy,  good food. and amazing place to stay  at villa  Nicomar !!
we organized with  off road tours, and more activities  its nicely and  memorable experience  !! we loved there fresh sea food  menu and breakfast. relay little paradise !!

Fantastic  beach holiday house  in south !

We were just two in the villa we had booked early at the fire fly beach cabin which belongs to the same owner there was a power outage so they relocated us to the villa nicomar for the same price the personal and very kind owner also I really recommend this place
