Hipotels Mercedes Aparthotel

We have just returned after a week staying at the hotel in a one bedroomed apartment. The hotel is lovely, staff were very friendly and the hotel & grounds are immaculately clean. Our apartment was on the 4th floor with great views overlooking the park area to the side, the beach & sea. We had maid service every day apart from one day, but we were kindly notified it was their day off which I thought was a lovely touch. The bathrooms were stocked with liquid soap, moisturiser, body wash & shampoo/conditioner. The balcony was huge with a table & 4 chairs. The bed was huge & so comfy. Great amount of wardrobe be space too, although the apartment was for 4 people and there were only 2 of us. I can’t comment on the food as we were self catering so didn’t eat in the hotel. Neither did we see any of the evening entertainment but from the program they had different acts on every night, singers, magician, parrot show etc. The pool area was large with a choice of sun beds and umbrellas, we loved the fact that it was a very calm quiet pool with no loud blaring music from the entertainment! From the pool it is a short 1 min walk across the promenade to the beach. The only gripe I have is that the shaded seating area near the pool is the hotel’s lunch restaurant so unless you were ordering food or drinks you didn’t feel able to sit & chill or read your book when you needed some shade. I made the mistake one day of eating some crisps and was told I couldn’t sit there & eat, I had to order from their menu or go back to the pool area! It would have been nice to feel like it was a more chilled area, especially when you needed some shade, but it wasn’t and there were plenty of empty tables. The hotel is well situated near supermarkets, restaurants, bars & shops. Overall we loved the hotel, I would definitely recommend it and would definitely return.
