Very good
2207 reviews- Summary - The hotel is a little piece of paradise near the airport, offering easy access to the Barajas Center (restaurants, cafeterias, etc.), as well as public transportation (metro and buses) that provides good service. It features clean facilities and, now, even a swimming pool. PROS: Location, Cleanliness (except for several minor details), Service, and THE POOL CONS: Only small maintenance details. - Long description - The hotel is located near Madrid-Barajas airport (Between seven and eleven minutes away on the hotel shuttle, depending on the terminal) and in the neighborhood of Barajas (part of Madrid). As such, it's within walking distance of many restaurants and cafeterias (coffee places). The hotel is also within a 10-minute walking distance from the subway station and even less from many bus stations, so public transportation is readily available. We arrived on a hot June Saturday afternoon, and we stayed until the following day, when my child had to take a plane to South America. Even if the visit was on a weekend during peak season, the service was fast, efficient, and kind. The room was as expected. I have stayed in this property several times in the last few years and was nicely surprised by the new swimming pool. This late addition to the hotel, which they told me was built in January or February, was incredible and perfect to deal with Madrid's summer heat. As said, being able to spend the whole afternoon relaxing by the pool was great. Additionally, we were able to order food from the hotel's restaurant, and they were kind enough to arrange a table near the pool so my son and I could enjoy our meal. It was an AMAZING afternoon and much better than I expected. There was nothing fancy about the room. The bathroom, as can be seen in the pictures, is so 80s !! Nevertheless, everything works perfectly, including more than decent water pressure. The bedroom has been updated, meaning it is no longer from the 80s, and in general, it is well-maintained. There were some minor "hick ups" with the room, as can be observed in the pictures I attached. For once, even if it locked and secured perfectly well, the door between the room's corridor and the hallway seems to be damaged around the lock. There are also several spots (also on the hallway) that have been repaired but not well matched to the previous paint. The room could be considered spotless except for the balcony door, which was quite dirty as if someone had thrown a liquid on it from the outside. Finally, I noticed something late at night: there was an issue with the balcony door. As the wind increased, a strong hissing sound emanated from the top of the door. Breakfast was served buffet-style and was more than adequate. However, if you don't go for big breakfasts and have the time, you can go to one of the "cafeterias" near the hotel and save a few euros. My child and I eat a lot, so we were more than happy with the breakfast buffet that was constantly restocked. Check out was painless. I already reserved a room to use when I go to Madrid to pick up my little monster at the airport.... The time at the hotel was THAT good.
