Cala Bona Hotel

From the moment we stepped inside the reception area we were impressed. The staff on reception were so welcoming & helpful. We were slightly disappointed when we found out our accommodation was in another building which was a walk away down the street but the room was lovely & modern. The view was of a back lane looking on to bins but my fault for not paying extra(!) Also disappointed with the pool. It looked a lot bigger in the photographs on the site - this was the main reason I chose this hotel. There’s no room for inflatables which my teenage son loves. It was impossible to swim because of the amount of people that were in there. This pool was probably big enough years ago before the hotel expand into other buildings. The “deep” end only came up to my neck & I’m 5’1 so certainly no diving in. It was also difficult getting a lounger due to large family’s saving full rows with towels & not using them all day - grrr! Those were my only negatives of our holiday. I can’t praise the staff enough - waiting staff, maids, chefs, pool side bar staff - everyone, were fantastic! The entertainment was great every night but not many seats so get down early. My favourite thing about this hotel was the food - wow! I’m a seriously fussy eater but this place has the most amazing food I’ve ever ate - beautiful! Every night had different specials on including roast beef & Yorkshire pudding - Thank you!!
