Addo

Found Chrislin Lodge very comfortable and relaxing.Well organised establishment, safe with friendly staff.Close to Addo Elephant park, only downside was the condition of the access roads, where road works are being conducted.

We stayed two nights at the Chrislin and it was a very good experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, large expanses of greenery with small bungalows, it's really great! There are plenty of fruit trees in the field. The room was very nice, big. The cleanliness was right but could have been better. Bed tasks among other things. One day we also had a water cut for the bath. More hot water and more pressure too. The restaurant was really great, we have the choice to eat in the evening between two or three offers often. The chef gives a lot of space to the kitchen, it's cooking and very good and well taken care of. There's even a small cup with herbs and vegetables/cooking which is used in the swimming pool, which I told us is very flavorful, but the kitchen is very nice for the kids.

I can't get into the top ratings, why? We had a house with three beds, one of the older categories. Unfortunately, it wasn't renovated much. The house was neat. There was no porch, from the lawn straight into the house, you'd bring in so much dirt. Dust and dirt in the house were not visible to me. Plugs were shaking with power outages. Air conditioning saw the last maintenance years ago. Food and dinner area was very good, service very good. What I found disturbing were the children's games where the little ones wanted to get out of the way, or FaceTime with the grandmother, nice. Reception, and young, unfortunately without local knowledge.

For me, it's only the middle class.

The place is very nice and the houses around the green meadow with the pool and a playground for children are also big. The super-gau was, however, that we were there on time for dinner (I think there was dinner from 6pm), then it took forever until someone took our order and then we waited for another hour - until after almost two hours of waiting time with still empty stomachs and two tired and agonizing little children, we left the restaurant. We didn't do that again.

Plant ok, restaurant service disaster

A very nice place to stay in Addo. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The cabins are very nicely decorated in African style.
The breakfast is delicious and the dinner was excellent. 
The Addo Elephant Park is only twelve kilometers away.
We like to come here again.

First of all Linda is an amazing person 
She welcomed us with a wonderful smile and a warm welcome and immediately gave as the the feeling of a vacation and took care of everything we needed.
We got the room immediately when we arrived
The staff is always nice and will serve you with pleasure and a big smile 

The location is a key ! Close to all best attractions that Addo has to offer located  minutes from the Addo national park 
We booked crisscross adventures that was just great and showed as the best palaces and made sure we will have an unforgettable holiday 

The lodge is big and full of space perfect for private romantic or a family & friends vacation 
Everything is clean and top level the gardens are amazingly green and beautiful and the pool area is so lovely and inviting so you can hangout and spend the day in the sun 

The rooms are self build with the finest African style,modern ,big ,comfy , clean and quite ( the bed was amazing ) 

Jean the chef cooks amazing dishes that we found to be so tasty ( we couldn’t stop eating 😂) and all the vegetables and fruits are so fresh because they are growing it in their farm 

Honestly we had are doubts coming first time from Israel to south Africa  
But it was beyond all expectations 
This place is the best value for money that you can find in Addo and the nicest people that there is no price for

Great location for Addo park.the set up with the huts as accommodation is like a movie of old africa.We loved it

The venue was really great, staff were outstanding and food was delicious.We enjoyed a relaxing time at Chrislin, also close to the Addo.

Great get away.

The lodge is an oasis of peace and quiet. For us, this was the sixth and final stop of our trip. We even booked an extra (third) night here, because we found such peace and quiet in the lodge's huge garden among the citrus groves. With our three children, we stayed in a hut with two adjoining rooms. The word hut is an understatement for the very luxurious feeling of the rooms. This is due to the sober but tasteful decor, the great king size beds and the beautiful bathroom with spacious shower. The huts are cleverly arranged, giving you a great sense of privacy, while both the restaurant (where you can have breakfast and dinner) and the pool and playground (highly appreciated by the kids) are all close by. The lodge has a very family atmosphere because of the friendly presence of owner Linda and her son Chris (who organizes day activities and can take you to unique places that you would never be able to see or do on a regular guided tour - check out his company Criss Cross Adventures). If there is one place in SA where we would come again, it is this one.

Totally beautiful and well-kept accommodation. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and especially dinner is very fresh and super delicious. We were thrilled! Not far from the Addo Elephant Park.
