The building is a lovely old structure with the original coach entry tunnel; in our bedroom, lots of very old exposed beams. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was up a few flights of stairs (no lift). I guess the top floor will be hot in summer, in May it was already getting rather warm in the room. Very peaceful! Loved the location, a short walk to two of the best places to eat and drink in the town, and it is right on the edge of the historic centre. I would certainly stay there again when in the area (there are several other hotel/pensions adjoining, so plenty of choice). Recommended! Tip - book directly with the hotel, not via one of the booking agencies.
