Plotnikovyih Guest House

I stayed at the Plotnikov over New Years to visit friends and my first visit to Russia, this hotel was excellent location for us and was only a short walk from the main part of town for shopping, restaurants and bars. Room 32 is very spacious, clean and well presented, however be aware you are right underneath the bell tower which starts to chime from 08:00 onwards and again every half hour. Not good after a night out, but at least I didn't have to worry about setting an alarm. The balcony door doesn't lock which I thought may be an issue, but as your at the top of the building no one could ever gain entry that way. Staff are friendly but do not speak English so have a good translate app or in my case a friend to do the talking.
