The Sky Lofts Lisbon - Guesthouse

Currently staying at the sky lofts on a 2 day side excursion from a fortnight in the algarve. It’s a fantastic place to stay ! The communication from the team before our arrival was second to none, asking where we were travelling from in order to give us directions to find the hotel. On arrival at St. Sebastiao metro station it was a 5-10 minute walk to find the address, (with hindsight the Parque metro is literally across the road & a lot closer but meant changing metro lines for the sake of just one stop). Granted the entrance door to the Sky Lofts isn’t the prettiest in the world, nor is the small elevator that takes you up to the 5th floor, but once you arrive, the welcome and the ambience of the place is top class. Marconi, I think his name was, did an efficient job of booking us in despite his limited English. He gave us a tour of the entire building, missing no detail, and gave us good advice on where to eat and shop as well as recommendations for getting around. He’s a lovely guy. Showing us to our room (room 1), I’m sure my mouth must’ve fallen open, it was beautiful! There was a welcome pack of bottles of water, tea, coffee, fruit juice, and pain au chocolate. The cleanliness of the entire place is striking and our twin beds were extremely comfortable. Showers were lovely and hot. There was a kitchen where you could use the fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, and even the washing machine! Our room had 2 skylights so became quite warm during the day as we had sunny weather but the temperature did drop markedly at night, however there was air conditioning but we chose not to use it. Whatever the Sky Lofts team are doing, I hope and pray that they keep doing it and never change because this place is an absolute gem and they are a credit to their profession. Lisbon is a beautiful city to visit and when, not if, I return, I’ll certainly be booking in at The Sky Lofts.
