A fairly small guest house with a dozen or so rooms, we stayed in the hotel for about five days while visiting a family event and visiting family friends. It was arranged by my father with little to guide him but price as he isn't much into online reviews! Despite this a fairly good hotel, and when you consider the price, a very good one. The rooms are very good - spacious, clean, well decorated. The en-suites are a good size and again very clean and have good basic shower cubicles. The hotel offers B and B style accommodation with a continental-style breakfast augmented with a choice of hot eggs or sausages served by the friendly staff. The dining room becomes an adequate evening restaurant serving good value basic Polish fare (although Karczma pod lasem a few blocks East is a better restaurant - and worth going to unless its slightly more expensive menu puts you off). Where the hotel lets it self down are in three areas - one is sound insulation of the rooms. The doors are not particularly soundproof and with the corridors and staircases made of hard flooring rather than carpet it is easy to hear passing people. The rooms further away from other customers are unfortunately facing a fairly busy road. The second criticism are the curtains which are on rails well away from the window opening but are only just the same size as the windows - as a result there is a fair amount of light leakage around them - more of a problem in summer mornings I expect although notably windows do not face East or South. I wouldn't want to give the impression you won't get an adequate night's sleep - the area is quiet and the hotel isn't going to attract late night revelers or anything of that sort - but if you are a very light sleeper then it is something to be aware of. The last criticism is a lack of facilities - Of course the hotel lacks sophisticated stuff for big hotels like gyms, swimming pools, valet parking and the like, but even more simple things were lacking - no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, no local information, no menu for their own restaurant even! WiFi is free but not a strong connection. The staff are nice and the problems don't effect the hotel as a place to sleep, so its fine to get a coffee in the pleasant bar and do your trip advisor reviews from there but these are cheap things to sort out that would elevate this from a very good guest house to a great one. All in all recommended for a budget traveler - the important things - cleanliness, service, good bed, wifi, nice breakfast, are all there - but with a few extra upgrades this could be a really excellent little budget hotel.
