Beautifully located hotel with a beautiful view of a waterfall.
We received a very warm welcome from the owner and the staff was also very friendly
The hotel is beautifully centrally located, so you can make great day trips to Lom or Briksdalbreen, for example

It is a rustic hotel, which is very nice in this gorgeous nature place. Room amenities are minimal, but it was clean and the bedding very comfortable. The price was great, and the food and service excellent. My morning walk was jaw-dropping beautiful. The aqua waterfall rapids, evergreens, snow capped mountain in the distance-just everything-was beautifully refreshing and satisfying. Other reviews spoke of poor ownership & staff. There are new owners as of around May 2022, and they are wonderful young men trying to create a new experience and expand on the offerings. Look for more available activities in the near future! I am very happy with my stay there, and encourage you to try it out.

Nice place, old charming hotel in the middel of the mounthains. Back to basic. No stress at all the time that you spent in this hotel. Live white the nature. Early in the morning and sleep well by the waterfall.

Two of us had spent 2 weeks in the mountains and this was our last stay nights accommodation prior to catching the bus to Oslo for a flight home. 
Being very late in the season we were the only guests. I had a problem trying to book bus tickets back to Oslo and I queried with the owner. She didn't have to but she took time to check sites online and was able to find the tickets for me, without her assistance we would have been catching a bus at just gone midnight :-(
We ate an evening meal there which was very pleasant and a reasonable price. As we were the only guests I did wonder what breakfast was going to be like. My worries were groundless and the breakfast was all we could have hoped for, typical Norwegian hotel breakfast but just the two of us in the dining area.
The room was basic but had a scorching hot shower which was lovely, no TV in the room but we didn't really consider that an issue, I know some people would. Checkout was 11:00 but the owner was happy for us to keep the room until our bus was due to arrive so we kept it until 13:15.
All in all a great last night and morning. The owners a Dutch couple were both friendly and helpful, and they had a lovely friendly dog "Juno"

What a lovley house, nicely decorated and very friendly owners. We arrived around 8 and still got dinner, moose and reindeer meat balls, which was good. Our room had a view on the waterfall, really beautiful, the noise didn't disturb us at all. We didn't miss a tv in the room, we prefered a walk along the waterfall, why watch tv when it's light outside until 11pm and such amazing nature around! Wifi and breakfast was ok (there were some fresh vegetables). Would come again! 

We turned up with no reservation but got one of the last rooms. The rooms are simple but nice and clean with the character of the building. The surrounding area is very beautiful and nice for walks. Staff very accommodating for meals, with authentic food being served. Breakfast and coffee is also complimentary. It's not your standard hotel but it is a must experience in our opinion

We decided to stop at this place as we couldn't find anything near and relatively cheap. We didn't expect luxurious  conditions, just wanted to have some sleep on our way to Geiranger. This guest hotel is run by the Dutch people and kept its old fashioned style from late 70's. The place is charming in a way, you do not notice any time lapse here ;) The hotel is located by the huge waterfall which is really noisy and for those who likes quiet good night sleep can be a challenge ;) We had some breakfast and dinner here. Dinner was yummy (meat bolls with sour cabbage and potatoes). Breakfast was modest and not so much to choose from. However, we have some good memories related to this place. Modest food and sleeping conditions are fully compensated by the surrounded nature which is really beautiful :)

Time has stopped in this specific place

In our tour to Norway we had a one night stay here. Hotel looks ok, just like a rustic accomodation. No elevator, minimum furniture, minimum everything. We had also dinner here as there is no other premises near by , hotel just like a stop on the road. 
In the back there is a very nice waterfall.

We stopped for lunch at 1 pm, outside the sign says open, when parking we notice the place looks a little creepy like in a scary movie. 

When we enter we see 2 young waitress looking like they are so scared and an older couple, I asked if we can have lunch, the answer, NO TOO LATE, harsh and that was all 

We where happy to escape this bad moody place.

Luckily we find a nice place after a while named Fjellkro a nice buffet, 
Fresh food choices and friendly service
