Very good and comfortable room. The hole apartment was very clean, excellent and convenient location.  Nice view was a bonus. Skibus was just across a street, grocery store is also very close with good value products. There is also pizza and coffee place two steps away.


Nice place

We have stayed at the apartments above the cafe, and we find that they are spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The skibus stops right outside the cafe, and at the end of the day skiing you just take the piste down. Check the cafe’s website on beforehand for parties and avoid rhem as they can be noisy 😉

God value for money

A fantastic place to eat with comfortable interior, pleasant decor, helpful attentive staff and a superb speciality dish; the Klebberstein (soapstone)
Just remember that this is a dish that has to be booked the day before, but that is a good idea so you have a chance to build up the necessary appetite
If you have had a Turkish/ Greek/ Arabic meze, or a Spanish tapas then you will be familiar with a table filled with a variety of bowls. The Klebberstein meal presents the diners with plenty to choose from, then at the centre of the table is placed a late iron trivet carrying a block of stone heated to a high temperature. A tray of diced cubed meats is presented, pork, chicken breast and beef in large chunks accompanied by a small ramekin of seasoning. Diners select there meat and place it to sizzle on the stone, chat sip your drinks, and turn the pieces to cook on each side as you nibble on the other offerings and the sauces to accompany them. The chicken and pork were delicious lean cuts, but the beef was absolutely out of this world.

Superb Klebberstein dinner

Everything we ordered was excellent. The Moose patties on roasted root vegetables, and Goat cheese burger were great. Star of the show was the Smashed avocado sandwich with chicken. Great service and helpful, friendly advice regarding wine choice. This is the place to eat if you are staying in Hemsedal or just passing through. 

Excellent food and good service

Me and my girlfriend booked 3 nights here and we got a really nice apartment with a kitchen, loft with TV area and 3 separate bedrooms.
We got appletv for free in the reception but it malfunctioned quite alot but we managed to watch Planet Earth and download it quickly so it didn't go through the hotels WiFi because that's the reason it malfunctioned.
On the 2nd night the staff threw a company party for themselves, they were rather noisy and set of the building's firealarm twice in the middle of the night, they kept partying until 3am and we never even got an apology for the firealarm.
Otherwise all in all a good place, just avoid the company parties. 

Company party

Had a very good dinner with the family. The kids had a kids menu with sausages and apple-juice. We had a very good deer burger with potatoes and beer/wine. Very helpful waitress, translating and quick serving. Not expensive and definitely a place to visit.

Great food

We stayed here with my wife in two-story apartments a day during our trip through Norway, a very pleasant and comfortable accommodation, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, and plenty of sleeping places.

A great place to relax, especially in the ski season.

Very nice place, very well located, clean, in front of the bus stop that leads to the ski resort, bar and restaurant on the ground floor but not inconvenient for anyone who wants to rest, I would definitely come back.

The three of us settled in two-bedroom apartments. The kitchen is huge, everything is comfortable, the spirit of skiing in everything. Behind the hotel is a small beach on the mountain river. Nearby is a lot of shops of various purposes.

All right, all right.

We had a one-night stop in the middle of the week, before it was time, as indicated by the racetrack - everything was closed, we went for a walk around the neighborhood, after a while the receptionist called, they said that we could get in) the room is cozy, the kitchen is excellent, all the accessories are available, even the vapour cabinet!) the microwave is not only - but it's not a problem, the room has warmed up in 15 minutes. The ski slopes are closed in the middle of the week, it's not a season, although the snow is full, apparently the traffic is still low at this time.
