This place could top the list of worst backpackers in CHC. I booked my room 4 months ago and my booking was confirmed, but at check in the receptionist said he has no information about my booking in his system!! Unwelcoming attitude, it took me 20
minutes to check in and the stupid door lock code wasn’t working well. 
Room was shabby, bathrooms are tiny and uncomfortable. Worst experience ever!! I cancelled my stay with them in June. 👎🏽

Worst backpackers in CHC

Stayed for a couple of nights and has to be the worst place I've ever stayed in. Doors slamming all hours, very cold, rude cleaners and bad customer service skills from owners. I am absolutely unhappy with the stay

Worst place ever

Horrible place for a horrible man's reception, in a horrible night for an horrible price. 
Honorless and abusive guy . Cold room, dirty with a terrible wifi . We tried to have more informations from the guy of the "hostel" but he looked bored and gave us bad informations . If you want to have a good night, don't sleep in his beds.

Horrible Man

I just wanted to say a BIG thank you for helping me out when I was desperately looking for a phone to make an emergency call. I just passed by and asked in reception if I could kindly use the phone - I had to make a call abroad but they didn't charge me any money. Many thanks for that.

Great support

As I read in a previous review, they described this place as a crack den and I 100% agree! You do not feel safe in this place, it has a weird eery feel about it. I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm and there was just stuff everywhere and all over the floor - there was no place to put my bag or to even walk. The rooms are tiny and they cram 3 bunks in there - the bunks were so loud and squeaky, any time anyone moved the bunks would squeak loudly waking you up. Also, they swayed so much and were unstable that you would almost get motion sickness from laying on them. The rooms were way overly hot so you felt sick and there was no light in the toilet. The kitchen was an absolute mess and the fridge was dirty and looked like it never had been cleaned. Worst place in Christchurch - I would avoid staying here if you can! I was out first thing in the morning, glad to only stay 1 night - never again. Very unsafe place

Get Out While You Can!

First of all: the hostel owners are absolutely helpful and friendly. The internet worked for us only near the front desk, but there was good! What didn't impress us personally was the client: the hostel was full of Sleep and Travel kids. The question, of course, is who was at the wrong place. If you want to party a little bit at night and meet a lot of people, it's probably perfectly right for him. We were in Christchurch more like the boring faction of city visitors who look at museums during the day and go to bed early in the evening. That doesn't fit together. The kitchen was really dirty. I've seen in many developing countries or dozens of places this kind of dirty backpack and stuff like that, and every Friday you'd have to sit in a campsite and eat a packet of stuffed chicken.

At the wrong place?

Badly lacking maintenance and room hadn't been cleaned very well.

We came to this place after asking about many places in the area and considering it economical in relation to others, we decided to stop here, we were 4 and were given a room of 2 and placed our mattresses on the floor that were charged at the same price as a bed, as we were without reservation and there were no people there were no problems, we booked 3 nights and we were paying for them daily.

It's cheap to sell expensive.

The guy at the reception has absolutely nothing to do with you complaining, he almost makes fun of you. The kitchen is very dirty and everything is fat. The pots are useless. Go your way!!!!

It's awful!

The rooms are very spacious and very comfortable, the apartments are very clean, the social areas are very good, if you consider cost-benefit in Christchurch, this is undoubtedly the best accommodation option.
