We stayed here back in March 2017, so this review is long over due. But just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay here. Sue and Gordon were so nice, easy to chat with, and took such god care of us. We arrived late at night, but Sue still had a nice warm meal waiting for us. And our room was very comfortable, with sliding doors leading out to a patio, and a beautiful view of the surrounding fields. We, of course, were there to visit Hobbiton, and Sue made a call to one of her friends to see if we could get tickets to the evening tour, and gave us other helpful information about how to plan our day in Matamata and Roturua. If we ever get to return to the North Island, our first choice would be the McKenzie Farm Stay!
