A little old hotel with a small room, a new shower and a mattress, the windows were unlockable, which provided good ventilation in the event of a storm, the breakfast was surprisingly good and the price of 103 euros for the night was ok.

Old shells, not very clean.

If I were to compare my last 50 hotels where I stayed, this accommodation would be in the last place. The whole house is very old, and the room itself is really old. If someone takes the elevator or climbs the stairs, you hear that, so the audibility is too high. To close the door you almost need to study physics, but the very nice staff here were helpful. The bathroom is from the 50s. The shower is so narrow and narrow that even a normal person with a normal weight here has difficulty turning around. Apart from the very friendly position, you can also call it the foothold. Hearing loss and very old, but at least in good condition

It was a long time ago that I hadn't come back but always mediocre thinking of us for a few extra euros you find it better still minimal convenient just for location and for timeshare shuttle that leads to Estec car seat available certainly I won't come back

work trip

We stop by to visit the Keukenhof Park the next day, which is about a 15-minute drive away.The owner is a little short.The house is small and close to the beach.The rooms are quite old and the mattresses too.The breakfast room is nice and comfortable.The breakfast is quite good.

A reasonable price for the area

The hotel occupies a cottage near the beach: in 5 minutes you can walk along the mini promenade of Noordwijk. The distance to the first beach line allows you to have a more adjusted price, especially for the Dutch holiday period. The facilities are a little old, perhaps in the past it had a little splendor but now they have fallen far behind. The old elevator, the narrow stairs, the small room (the bed and a little more for a table) and the bathroom are also smaller. However, the curtains that are already to be thanked for the Netherlands. The breakfast was a little loose: without only fruit, a limited assortment of cheeses, jam, etc.; and nothing sweet. The price is just fine, the hoos are set in the area by the clouds and are also full of clouds in July.

Not too expensive for the area.

The rooms were very small but clean.The staff was very friendly.The breakfast was perfect.The coffee was free all day long.Very advantageous.The beach is about 5 minutes' walk away.You were in the village instantly.

A good stay

The rooms were quite clean but they looked terrible. No space around the beds, broke door handle. Staff was nice and friendly, but thats it. Breakfast was average. I have to thank you, because you accommodate us at the mid-night.

Nothing special

I attended the hotel "De Admiraal" since the last 10 years, for business reasons. The hotel takes its name from the former admiral who long ago opened it; today the property is managed by his son and family.
Unfortunately, over the years the quality of this hotel, that was a real point of reference for people who had to spend their night(s) in Noordwijk aan Zee, went downhill fast. The price is very affordable and includes breakfast and wireless Internet access; but the state of the rooms is pitiful: linoleum floors (are they still permitted by Dutch law??), "before-the-war" electrical systems, no comfort kit in the bathroom (eg. soap, shower gel and body lotion, as it is used now in all hotels in the world, also 3 stars).
My last experience, last week, has been very negative: at my arrival, the two radiators in the bedroom and the bathroom were off. I tried to open the radiator valve, without result. I had to report it to the manager, who proceeded quickly to unlock the heater in the bedroom, but not the one in the bathroom, for which I had to wait until the next day, after my further report (sic!). From the bathroom came also a horrible musty smell; it seemed that the room was not inhabited for months and I doubt that there was the minimum hygiene conditions to accommodate people.
For years I continued, from time to time, to book this hotel in Noordwijk aan Zee. Unfortunately I think the time has come, for the manager, to become aware of the fact that in Noordwijk the hotel offer is now large enough that, to remain competitive, one needs to provide services that satisfy customer expectations (even if this means increasing the price, of course).
My advice, therefore, is to carefully avoid the hotel "De Admiraal" until the family that runs it will not implement relevant, appropriate and no longer postponable restructuring and upgrading works.

Cold rooms and musty smell

Because the hotel is in an excellent location right next to the beach. Parking is available. Staff is very friendly. Everything is perfect. It just has the charm of the early '80s - but it's not bad. You can't just renovate a hotel from scratch every five years. After suffering you can comfortably ride the bus line 20. The bus station is near the hotel. If you want to go out in the evening and grab a good beer, it's best to go to the harbour. There's a self-service (made externally) and solid food with a pub atmosphere.

Extended weekend at the lake

The hotel is well located, near the boulevard, to the sea. I am going to my work. However, it needs a real refreshment. Outdated furniture. The beds are comfortable. The hotel is not clean, nor are the rooms. Even if the price is low, this does not justify a lack of cleanliness.
