THAGU CHHEN A Boutique hotel

As soon as I arrived you are treated like the most important person.  
I was lucky to get upgraded with a magnificent view. The bed sheets are 100% cotton, the mattress is very comfortable,  the pillows are firm yet fluffy.  It's super clean and well isolated. Breakfast was delicious.  I am glad I stayed 2 nights to fully enjoy the room .

Excellent hotel/apartment house 2 minutes walk from Bhaktapur Durbar square in a well-maintained, clean and newly renovated street. The staff are kind and helpful and have great recommendations on how to get around/what to see etc. We were warmly greeted by Roshna and we were offered hot hand towels to cleanse our hands/face from a long day’s travel. Prepared welcome drinks and a Nepalese scarf! Such a kind welcome! 
We stayed in the Navadurga apartment house, which is on the 3rd floor with excellent views of the city and surrounding mountains. The bedroom window looked out onto the main street but the building/windows are well-insulated so no noise was disturbing us during the night. The bedroom was spacious and the bed and pillows we found very comfortable. The shower was also huge and everything worked well. 
The accommodation included breakfast at the neighboring restaurant/hotel (owned by the same owner) and oh my! It was just out of this world, what a spread! We tried the local breakfast and the western breakfast and both were plenty, delicious & well presented! Bidur (our waiter) was excellent at taking care of us, he spoke great English and told us about Nepal and life here. 

All in all, this was the best place we stayed at in Nepal and when we come back to Nepal, we sure will be back here! Highly recommended!

This was a bit of a splurge for us because it is not the cheapest place. But is was a very nice stay. The rooms are spacious and have a wonderfull view to the mountains in the north. 
Pillows and beds are not the most comfortable ones, especially the pillows are a bit to thick and firm.
Staff on the other hand is great. They are willing to help wherever they can and share their knowledge about the city, culture or cuisine. Very kind.

We had an amazing time in this place! People are extremely nice and helpful, our first experience in Nepal is raising the bar high! Comfortable room, calm night, clean place ! We recommend it !

This is my third time to Bhaktapur, but it’s my first time staying at this guest house. The hotel met and exceeded my expectations. The rooms were large with a living space, kitchen, & bedroom. It is very near to Durbar Square with all the historic sites, restaurants, and shopping. 

All of the staff is extremely friendly, kind, and accommodating. Food at the restaurant was outstanding.

I highly recommend. That’s why I gave it 5 stars.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. The service was amazing, staffs were super friendly. The place is beautiful and located at the centre of Bhaktapur and within a walking distance to all the attractions around. 

Would definitely recommend. We really enjoyed our stay here. Reasonable pricing, nice and clean rooms, many food options - we enjoyed the authentic Newari dishes and excellent service. We were very happy with their hospitality.  

My partner and I stayed here for our last night in Nepal. It was a last minute booking and they were really accommodating. 
The apartment was the whole floor and really spacious. The view of the valley and hills from the balcony was great and all amenities were just what we needed. Comfortable bed, clean and good bathroom, large living space (big enough for us to do our leaving repack). 
And the location, we couldn't have asked for better. We wanted to have our last day in Bhaktapur and while the hotel wasn't in the old town it was only five minute walk to the main gates. 
Unfortunately we had to leave before 6am in the morning but the staff continued to try and offer us food or at least tea before we left. They tried to find us a luggage scale in the evening and recommended a good place for dinner. Very helpful and really friendly.  It was a great stay and met all our needs. 
For our last night in Nepal it was a great representation of all that we had loved about the country.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights on the top floor.  The views of the valley are very nice, the breakfast was filling, and the hotel is just a short walk to the main tourist attractions.  The hotel is in good condition and the staff was helpful when needed.

My room was the entire third floor of the hotel. Large living room, kitchen with hot plate (no refrigerator but ok)  nice bath and shower. Large bedroom. Best was the service, coffee available, great breakfast either western or local.  You can have breakfast in your room or in the lobby.  The staff was exceptional.  I would use this hotel again.

Great hotel in Bhaktapur

This is not the usual hotel, but more a small apartments block a few steps from Durban square. Each apartment is on one floor and has got a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. All of them are well furnished and spacious. The bathroom has a nice hot shower and the bedroom heating and a large double bed. Breakfast is served at your requested time on the ground floor and it’s huge and delicious (I chose the veggie option with fruit, yoghurt, eggs, croissant, toast and jam and tea). Staff were very friendly and helpful. If I have to find a downside, WiFi was very slow on the third floor and didn’t work at all in the bedroom. I would definitely recommend this place!

Very comfy apartments 

I stayed here for 3 nights and was sorry to check out, Each room is basically an apartment with a large living space, kitchen (there is no fridge, but there is a cooktop and sink), bedroom and bathroom. The space is beautifully decorated and the views cannot be beat. My room was on the third floor and I could not stop staring out the window, when it's clear you can see the Himalayas. 

It can get a bit noisy, as the bedroom is on the main street and you can hear dogs barking, roosters, bells and such, but would highly recommend regardless. Also, the breakfast is delicious - I absolutely recommend the Nepali breakfast option.

Oh! And one of the staff brought me a fruit basket one evening. A lovely touch!

Beautiful boutique hotel with amazing views

Every room, which contained a bedroom. sitting room, kitchenette and a bathroom occupied 1 floor, so we had all 3 floors of the hotel. Breakfast menu was good and ranged from European meat set through European vegetarian set to Farmer (which was Indian) set. The staff was very attentive and there was always a porter on the door.  Durbar Square was 10 minutes walk away.

Comfortable and unusual

Just few minutes to Durbar square. four floors, four rooms. The best is on third floor, the only one with original wooden shutters. There are two rooms there: bedroom and living room with kitchen. There is a balcony in living room with good view of the city and mountains of Himalaya on the back. Friendly staff, full breakfast in the morning. Breakfast served by plates, if you have some dietary limitations, better to inform staff in advance, otherwise you will receive standard set with sweet round cakes, fruits, omlette.
