Very nice staff and incredibly beautiful riad!

Beautiful oasis to escape from the busy streets. Road access was great and easy walk to the square. Some shopping options and restaurants close by. We had a great stay and the hospitality was superb! Very accommodating and welcoming. This Riad is luxurious!  We stayed in the Jasmine room on the upper level, the bathroom was super cool. Breakfast also included and was delicious. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you Riad LallaBaya for a wonderful stay!

We had a lovely, comfortable stay while here. The team were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start our day, with only being a short walk away from many attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for a couple nights and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the services are the best I've experienced in Morocco. Nora and her team make everything easy and really helped me around town with ideas. They were also very wonderful in helping the Taxi get from the airport to the Riad, so you never have to worry about getting lost. It's very easy, the taxi pulls up right in front. The breakfast was very good and I was greeted with tea and pastry.

The host Luc is very polite and helpfull and made our stay very nice! The riad itself is very cozy and romantic with the courtyard with a nice fountain in the middle. You can enjoy breakfast at the rooftop terrace in the sun. The location is central in the city center and 5 minutes walking from the Saadien Tombs. Overall we had a wonderfull experience of staying here. 

Lovely Riad.  Luc made us feel so welcome, starting with having us picked up at the airport.  Our rooms were perfect and comfortable.  We loved our breakfast in the courtyard each morning with the birds singing all around us.  The roof garden is a lovely place for a glass of wine after a day of walking.   Can't say enough about this welcoming place.  This is my second visit to Riad L'Africain - it's the place for me in Marrakech.  

My husband and I are just back from our first trip to Morocco made it very special by Sarah and Luc. We spent few days at their riad which is conveniently located, quite and really beautiful. As it was our first time in Morocco Sarah was very helpful in suggesting us places to visit, but also where to eat, buy and get the best hammam in the city.
As we wanted to visit other places other than Marrakesh, she also tailored accordingly to our needs a beautiful 5 days 4 nights trip with a private guide. We visited several places in the Atlas Mountains, spent a couple of days in the desert, and also visited Fez.
I strongly recommended this place as they are both incredible hosts. 
We will definitely stay again at Chez l'Africain.

We stayed at Luc and Sarah's charming riad for 2 nights in January 2017 when it was very cold at night. Compared with the small cold, damp and dark riads near the big square, here at Chez L'Africain it was much brighter and cleaner, our room was warm and well equipped with both hot water and heating and tastefully furbished. 

After experiencing the chaos of the touristy quarter, our stay in the residential Kasbah was a refreshing change. The spacious and elegantly decorated courtyard was a delightful sight both during the day and at night - it is a true oasis. This is where Luc offerred us tea and nibbles while we waited for friends to go out to dinner in a local restaurant (that Sarah recommended) where we watched an interesting story-telling performance. As a slow traveller, I appreciated little things like a leisurely breakfast in this peaceful setting before facing the days outside. 

The riad is 3 minutes walk from the Saadian Tombs and the Kasbah mosque. 

As the riad was fully booked the day after, Sarah found us an alternative in the same area, which was very nice too. She even helped moved my luggage from my previous place (which was very heavy), booked us a good taxi, and offered tips for another city!

Charming riad in Kasbah (Marrakesh)

Would definitely stay here again.

They cancelled the booking we made months ago just days before we arrived. They neither provided a reason or any assistance in finding an alternative. Very unprofessional and distressing. They probably decided that somebody was willing to pay more on short notice. Thus a terrible experience overall.
