Such a nice all around experience. A traditional Moroccan Riad with friendly staff. Breakfast was so good.  Wonderful location in the old city. They even helped us arrange private transport to & from Tangier for half the price the transfer companies online quoted. I’ll be back.

The hotel is a typical old fashioned, blue, nice building in the best part of the Medina. You find all kind of shops around it: souvenirs, pictures, clothes, food shops. The rooms are nicely decorated, the breakfast is delicious and the best of the place are the owners and staff. They really know how to make guests feel at ease. Definitely, it’s a great choice considering price, attention, comfort and location.

Ohh we loved this place!! Everyone is so kind and welcoming, ready to satisfy ever need. The hotel is small but incredibly pretty (cutest room ever). The breakfast was amazing and the location is perfect, right in the centre of the old town. We will miss you Dar Terrae! Thank you for everything xx

Dar Terrae is lovely, it is very pretty and well looked after. The place is right in the middle of the medina, making it very easy to walk around. Don’t expect anything luxurious, the rooms are cute but quite basic, this however is perfectly coherent with the feel of this small mountain city. The common areas are very nice, and the staff is polite and helpful. The only thing I’d be careful with is the cold: we visited in April and it was ok, but I am not sure I would recommend visiting in winter unless you are very accustomed to the cold, as there is no heating. (This however is quite common in the city.). We’d definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed this small Riad!  We stayed here 3 nights and the staff was eager to help with directions and any other needs.  I would opt to pay extra to have a room with bathroom/shower as we did.  I got the feeling that other guests questioned their decision to do without and use community ones. They do not have a restaurant but their breakfasts typical and good.  They also have a small boutique on the premises and were very competitive to other vendors. We must have had very respectful other guest, because noise was not an issue. Only minor drawback was people were allowed to smoke on their patios or the courtyard.  The smoke would drift into our room since the windows were not the type that seal up.  Despite that we had a wonderful time.

First time in Chefchaouen and we stayed two nights here. The city was like nothing I'd ever seen before - sort of like wandering into a fairy tale - and Dar Terrae was just an extension of that. I'd say it was fairly easy to find and well located. Just a 5 -10 minute walk down to the main square at the kasbah or a street with car access. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was small, but it was just so cozy and unique that we didn't mind. The storage space under the bed was helpful. The breakfast served on the roof terrace was delicious and very generous portions. Would definitely stay again.

Nice vibe, quite place. Rooms are very spacious and nice. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly. Had 2 meals here and both were great. We didn't enjoy Fes as a city much but this was one of the best riads we had in Morocco

The host Adnan was extremely friendly and always around if you needed anything, the decorations and overall vibe of the riad is very pleasant and despite being in the center of the Medina, the riad is quiet. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and we saw sheets being washed every morning. Most rooms had bars on the windows allowing you to keep them open, but since ours did not we felt we needed to keep them closed... had the room had a fan the temperature would have been perfect, but it wasn't too difficult to fall asleep and stay comfortable (end of September).  Important to note that there is visual privacy in your room but you hear basically everything that is happening in the riad as it is relatively close quarters, though the staff and other guests were respectful of one another and didn't make excessive noise. The breakfast is basic - toasted white bread with jam butter cheese etc. with assorted fried breads that while delicious, we found we couldn't finish them all as a start to our day. The juice was fresh and tasty and it was nice to wake up to food right out of bed. Overall we would definitely recommend!

This adorable little blue gem of a hotel is managed by an energetic, and super friendly Bilal who also runs the attached boutique by the entrance with Joy the white fluffy dog. We stayed at the second floor double room. The room was small but very well decorated with a quirky en suite bathroom. The breakfasts were generous and made fresh each morning at the rooftop small dining room. The staffs were very helpful and goes above and beyond to give this place a homey and cozy feel that matches this little blue gem of a town. Would definitely return.
