This delightful boutique hotel has beautiful decorating, hotel seems to have been built around 1600s, maybe a private home.  The courtyard is beautiful, peaceful and decorative.  All the bathrooms and facilities are upgraded.  We had a jr. suite on the ground floor.  There is a stairway to the upper rooms which are more modern, but in my opinion, I like the old world feel of the bottom floor.  The stairs might be a challenge to the physically impaired, pretty steep. Hotelis l/2 block from best restaurants and shopping, shopping !  Many cute bars and coffee shops, within 30 feet, ultra great restaurants on next corner, La Luna, Tequila Sunrise, etc.  We had two of the best meals we've ever had, and we travel A LOT.  Artesian shopping as well as beautiful things for your home.

If somehow a beautiful Mexican hacienda and a no-name motel had a kid, it would look something like this.  Lush plants, well-polished Saltillo tile, and a pleasant courtyard, combined with small and basic (but clean and comfortable) rooms that look out, motel-style, onto the common walkway.  The staff was courteous enough to make me coffee and toast before my early departure, but there was no butter (only margarine) for the toast, and the coffee was no bueno.  The hotel was reasonably priced, is right in the middle of the nicest part of Tlaquepaque, and I would definitely stay there again.

Basic but elegant

A beautiful, quiet place to relax !

The place has 1 car parking in front. The parking is off site and there isn't any security. I had to look for a place that would provide more car security. I found it 1 block away but I had to pay 100 pesos for the night. The bathroom smelled really awful. The electrical outlets were loose and just had 1 outlet. The only good thing was the location and the colorful place. Breakfast was okay.

When we first arrived the staff was not very warm and friendly.  There was 4 of us, my husband and I and or 2 boys that were staying in one room with two double beds.

The temperature this day in Guadalajara this day was in the high 90's. Super Hot

When they checked us into our room, we went to turn on the A/C and quickly discovered that this was not working at all.  To make a long story short they told us that since it was Saturday, and tomorrow was Sunday that no one would come to fix the A/C unit.  Our family tossed and turned all night long with no sleep at all.

When we asked for a discount the next day for the inconvenience of not having any A/C in the Room they said NO!  My husband and I travel a lot and stay in lots of places, and this is a Hotel that we will NEVER visit again or recommend to anyone.

If you want a first class place to stay in Tlaquepaque, the BEST place to stay is "La Villa del Ensueño"

WORST EVER!!!

An event hall up the street blasts loud rock music into the hotel until 2am on weekends. The water pump on the roof starts making noise as soon as the first guest bathes in the morning. Avoid this place at all costs if you want to sleep more than 4 hours each night, choose another hotel. The breakfast is skimpy with few choices. Very disappointing. 
Un salon de eventos al lado del hotel toca música de rock hasta las 2 de la mañana los fines de semana. La bomba de agua empieza de hacer ruido cuando los primeros huéspedes bañan en la mañana. Si quieren dormir mas de 4 horas por noche, selecciona otro hotel. El desayuno es muy básico con pocos opciones.
