Such friendly staff on the desk. The guy that runs the place organised us loads of day trips and a cheap mini van to Luang Prabang. The bed was very comfy and clean in the room and it was very spacious. We had a room at the back so couldn’t hear the noise from the bar. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Room was dirty smelly and generally a hotel to avoid. 
We were on second floor and noise from the bar outside could easily be heard I feel sorry if your on the first floor. 
Shower was a hose pipe, there isn’t a plug hole for the shower in the bathroom just a Drain pipe hole. 
Room had a bad smell and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly. 
Bed was uncomfortable and dirty sheets/towels we had sleeping bag liners and this was the first place in Asia we had to use them. 
I would look elsewhere!!

The only good thing about this place is the location (opposite the busiest nightclub in town which is great if that’s your thing, but not so great if you want to sleep-bring earplugs) and right in the centre of all the food places-Irish bar next door has decent and food and the restaurant/bar on the corner is okay taste wise but we found it hard to communicate to the staff what you actually want to eat. 
We stayed two nights. The bed was clean and fairly comfortable hence the two stars. Everything else was bad. The bathroom was a health hazard.. the pipe running from the sink when you turn the tap on flowed down and out onto the bathroom floor. 
The guy who checked us in didn’t bother showing us to the room or helping with bags etc. I get that it’s cheap and it’s SE Asia, but we’ve had way better service and way cleaner rooms for the same/if not less money! Just avoid.

           

Just awful

I chose this hotel because it's right in front of the Sakura bar, one of the nightlife spots in Van Vieng. Don't stay here if you want to sleep: Sakura music will make you think you have a DJ in your room. Comfortable instead if you want to go out and be late.

For nightclubs only

Me, my husband and two friends spent 2 nights in two separate rooms on the fourth floor. The hostel is in the Laotian medium, there is free wifi on all floors even though it's not working perfectly. The rooms are clean even though the construction of the same and the bathroom leaves you wanting. The badly fixed sink is likely to collapse from time to time, the room is very wet and the air conditioner doesn't solve this hiccup. You'll find the necessary tightness: a bed, a toilet, and a shower, nothing more.

Acceptable

We stayed here for two nights and the rooms were basic but comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel can be a bit noisy after the pubs have shut but does stop after about 30min. You could say this is a backpackers hotel..nothing wrong with that as we paid the $16 per night so great value for money. Some hostels in this area are similar price. Would stay again. 

Two night stay

We stayed 4 nights. The wifi is spotty at best... we had to go in cafes to plan our travels. The room was quiet (we were in the back of the hotel) and confortable but dirty and dusty. The guy at the reception seems very nice and friendly but the only thing he wants is to make you buy tours with him... which are a completly waste of time even if they are super cheap. (Vang vieng tour) He's a liar, dont believe a word. Good location.

Dont book the tours... waste of time

Very friendly staff, very welcoming. The rooms are spacious, the bedding is good and the bathroom is quite large. On the other hand, there is a big noise problem, you hear everything that's going on. In addition, the hotel is located in front of the sakura bar, a fully open nightclub with loud music! It's impossible to sleep before 2 and wake up early because of the morning activities of the hotel.

It's noisy!

It's an essential facility, but it's comfortable and clean, it doesn't have a restaurant, it doesn't have breakfast, it has free Wi-Fi, and if necessary, you can arrange transfers and excursions, at good prices.
