The room was spacious and crisp white linen to sleep in. The cold weather and the rain did not stop me from enjoying my room. The heater was a great idea. Totally awesome. Great fish dinner and traditional breakfast, matumbo and githeri... Plus other varieties.
I look forward to a return visit.

It was mostly quiet except for a group that had to leave early. Water wasn't always hot. Generator was pretty loud when the power was off. But I felt safe and the room was clean and staff was helpful.

I had a good stay here. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Lovely cosy place

The location is good because it has a close proximity to both the airport and the  town. The food however lacked variety, lunch buffet as served late. We had challenges with the shower facilities in the room. If your a light sleeper avoid the ground floor rooms that are right outside the parking bay.
The staff at the reception were really good and welcoming. The small art designs using the towels was a good touch as you get into your room.

fair for an out of town short stay

A friend had highly recommended this place so I opted not to stay at my regular accomodation in Elgonview area so as to experience a night at Queens. We checked in on a Friday evening. The reception area is decent and the personnel were friendly.

Upon arrival in the room, I was impressed by the wall to wall carpet and the fact that there was a balcony. The bed was large enough and fairly comfortable. However, the bathroom is what really shocked me. The shower area is too spacious and has no sliding doors, moreover, the tiles there are very slippery. (They have put a large disclaimer on the wall indicating this). The bathtub didn't look too welcoming either.   

The following morning, the breakfast buffet was empty by the time we arrived to eat which was at about 9.30am. All we found was a few fruits, sweet potatoes and some non appetising githeri. Their selection was appalling. No eggs, bacon/sausages, baked beans, pancakes, mandazi etc.  Very disappointing. And the tea was the worst I've had anywhere in Eldoret. 

I was glad to be checking out that very morning and I vowed never to stay here again. A lot needs improvement. 

Needs a lot of work

We were a group of 14people, we stayed at this hotel for 3 days. The rooms are quite good and spacious.

Bathroom floor is very slippery because they plastered smooth wall tiles on the floor. So the best they are doing is placing a large notice warning "beware of slippery floor". A hotel of this standard should do much better because accidents are bound to happen.

The food here is terrible. Am not sure how they prepare it but after our first night almost everyone in our entourage complained of a stomach upset. If you had potatoes or chicken at dinner the previous night, expect potatoes and bits of chicken at breakfast. The food was very oily and very salty.

I also suspect they don't clean their thermos flasks & tea dispensers well. Coz tea has a distinct taste and smell when the thermos is not cleaned well. All in all the food is bad. 

If you choose to stay here you are better off booking bed only, then eat from somewhere else.

This is not a professionally managed hotel. At the reception there were other guests complaining about other issues. Management doesn't bother to get customer feedback. 

So yes. Nice rooms but not a good place to stay.

Nice rooms, terrible food

This is 3rd or 4th time we come as
We came to visit relative of my wife. Besides the price increased a lot (was 4000 and now 5000 ksh) we had dinner and prices were absurdly high.
We paid for one (local and hard) chicken 2000 ksh and for a nasty nyama choma 1500!!! Not mentioning that for 750 mm of Bayleys we paid 3 times the markets price, 6250 ksh! Of course it was our mistake not asking but still... we felt cheated and we will go somewhere else next time FOR SURE!
