We have just left the Wilderness camp this morning. Let me just say that we will be back for sure.
Naibosho Conservancy is utterly stunning, in terms of views and animal sightings. The camp is handled very well, especially by Mrs. Dorkas, the manager. Excellent accommodations, good food.
Authentic experience, always with few guests.
I recommend this camp.

Great camp located on the conservancy. As its on the conservancy you can game drive whenever you like without restriction that the national park has. The spot for Big Cats, I was amazed at how close we were getting to the animals. The Big Cats would even come over and rub up against the vehicles. My game driver was Alfonso, he is very knowledgeable and passionate about his work and very friendly and approachable, I had no worries about firing any questions I had at him, and he always had an answer. The camp itself was nicely appointed, I had a tent furtherest from the communal areas so it was very peaceful. I was a bit concerned when I learnt that they use bucket showers, but no problem, it's still from a shower head and only once did I get through the whole bucket of water. Lovely tents with big comfy beds. Each night they left a lovely note on my bed or chocolates or both. Staff were super friendly and eager to be of service. As a solo traveller it was nice to have shared game drives so I could share the amazing experience with others and see them get as excited as I did. Lovely meals and snacks provided. Most afternoon game drive we would have a sundowner in the vehicle as the guide would bring along snacks and drinks. Definitely want to go again.

This place is amazing!!! The staff are very attentive, kind, and accommodating. The food was exceptional .The tents were immaculate, (it's like glamping). The showers were hot even though it's a bucket shower. One of my favorite places we stayed. It was so inspirational hearing the wildlife at night. The Masai warriors kept us safe at night guarding the grounds. Shadrick our guide was great, he was knowledgeable with a perfect sense of humor. We got stuck in the mud and he sent the funniest text to the home base to come get us. Because of being stuck we saw the very illusive cheetah ... A win win for us... I highly recommend this camp! 

My favorite place to stay in our two-week East Africa safari adventure! I loved the glamping throwback to a bygone elegant era of safari travel. Open bar for sundowners, and incredible food - not sure how they do such a fantastic culinary job in the bush! Our safari guide Dickson was truly the Lion King, and had an uncanny knack of finding wildlife for amazing viewings. They even provided raincoats, boots and umbrellas for rainy days. The view from the tent was incredible, bedding comfortable and lots of amenities. You won't go wrong!

We really enjoyed our experience at Basecamp Wilderness!  
All the staff were friendly and always eager to help. The food was also particularly good.
Our guide, Manford, was knowledgeable and ensured that we were always at the right spot at the right time. We had some amazing game drives with him. We saw lots of lion cubs, a cheetah and a leopard, and also a pride of lions feasting on a giraffe.

We spent two unforgettable days at Basecamp Wilderness, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The tents were beautifully designed, offering all the comforts you could wish for, yet still giving the feeling of being immersed in nature.
The food was exceptional, and the guides during our game drives were both incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. However, what truly stood out was how the staff made us feel so welcome and cared for.

On Christmas Eve, during dinner, the entire staff surprised us with songs and dances they had prepared—it was such a heartfelt and joyful moment.
We can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so special.

This was our third trip with the Basecamp organisation, the first to the Wilderness camp. The camp provides an intimate safari experience. Wonderful staff, luxury tents and a brilliant game guide in Steve who ensured incredible viewings.

Went to the Mara with my brother and parents for a Christmas getaway and the whole trip was sensational. The staff were incredible - super friendly and attentive - and the facilities were great. Would highly recommend to everyone. The highlight of the trip were the game drives with Steve. He was a delight to be around, highly knowledgeable and super passionate. Our sightings with him were outstanding!

As this is our first visit to Africa and first safari, we had no idea what to expect. Suffice to say, our experience with Basecamp Wilderness in the Naboisho Conservancy was better than we could have imagined. 

The staff were attentive, friendly, accommodating, genuine and lovely. Any request we had was met and exceeded. Edward, our waiter, was fantastic, thoughtful, bent over backwards, and felt like family at the end of our stay. He is delightful. 

The food was fantastic…particularly the soups that came with every meal. And the bread…warm from the oven…and the muesli…and the Kenyan coffee…brought to your room on request to enjoy with the sunrise. I think if we had asked for chicken tenders and ranch, they would have figured out a way to accommodate us. 

Our guides, Joseph and Manfred were obviously seasoned game drivers at the top of their profession. They were both patient, tenacious, knowledgeable and hospitable. They made every effort to ensure that we experienced the beauty and animals of the reserve. The pride of lions, including about 8 cubs tumbling over each other, bathed in the golden early morning sunlight is something my family will never forget. 

Our family tent was spacious and super comfortable. The views from our bed were spectacular. The bedding rivaled some of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Highlights include hot water bottles in between the sheets at night and hot bucket showers. Our room stewards were attentive and hard working. And really took care of us, right down to doing our laundry. The sounds of lions, bugs, and other animals at night lulled us to sleep.   Note that we always felt very safe…the Maasai guards were a constant, reassuring presence from sundown to sun up. 

Dorcas, the manager, was lovely, professional, was present and checked in with us frequently. Our last night sundowner was the icing on the cake of a perfect stay. The team at Basecamp Wilderness set the bar high. 

There are any many safari purveyors and camps to choose from…it’s stressful …and for many, an African safari is a trip of a lifetime. Don’t sleep on Basecamp Wilderness…we were really lucky to stumble on this spot…and highly recommended. There’s absolutely nothing I’d change about our experience.

I had the most amazing time at basecamp Mara with my twin boys.  They are such a family friendly space and the kids learnt a lot from the very informed safari guides.  We got to see all the big 5 in their natural habitat. This is definitely a core memory for them. Thank you for making our experience memorable

The staff at Basecamp Wilderness were incredible!  We felt like family and became great friends with all of them.  Our guide Manford was top notch and got us up close and personal with all of the animals.  The chefs Maxon, Alfyio and Joslyn prepared 5 star rated food daily.  Benson the camp leader, Johnson (Restaurant manager), Janet and David (waiters), James and Dan (room attendants) as well as our private security guards Oglala, William, Samuel and Frances catered to our every need.  I couldn't believe the amount of QUALITY staff we had.  So amazing!
