Probably the cheapest single room you can find close to Nagoya station...being just 10 minutes walk the location can't be beat...rooms are very basic and there is only one toilet and sink per floor...and the shower rooms are in the basement which can be up to ten floors away...however, I never had to wait to use any of it...the hotel wreaks of a foul odor as it lacks air circulation...it's especially bad on humid/rainy days...other than that, perfectly fine for a night or two...

Cheap and good location

I was unable to find a ryokan for two nights inTsumago, so I stopped here to give me  a full day there as lots of trains to  Nagoya and so easy journey. Clean and cheap. Room tiny and facilities basic. A bit shabby. But does have wifi. Does the job. Small business man not holiday place..

Cheap and feels cheap - but clean and handy for quick stopover.

Near to Nagoya Station (about 5mins walk) and 24 hours convenient stores  across 2 junctions. The host is very friendly and speak good English. There are toilets in every floor but shower only at designated floor and only available and specific timing. Rooms are clean with TV and air-conditioner. Water boiler is available in every floor (just need to return after use) - which is, personally, essential during winter.

Great place and value worth

Nagoya is not usually a destination that fits the list of destinations to visit in Japan, so accommodations for foreign tourists are often scarce. However, there are a wide variety of economical options for people staying in the city for work reasons. The new Shochikubai is located a short distance from the Nagoya Central Railway Station. It is not easy to take any type of public transport as, on foot, the journey does not exceed ten minutes. The rooms are extremely small so that, if you carry a lot of luggage, you have to place it right from the beginning to be able to have problems at the door. The showers are shared and are located in the hotel envelope, but both have bathrooms to accommodate a lavatory in the hallway.

 Small rooms for a reasonable price.

One kilometer from the metro station. Small bathrooms and showers in common but absolutely clean and above all cheap. Possibility to wash clothes. Ideal for low-cost travelers. Good starting point for visiting Nagasendo Street.
