La Vigna

We totally enjoyed our five night stay here in August and the wonderful hospitality of the caretakers, Valerie and Alessandro, parents of the owner. Even though they spoke very little English and we even less Italian, they were able to provide a warm and responsive stay. Our room and private bath were excellently clean, but it felt like we were in an apartment since we had the use of the living room, refrigerator, and grounds. It was quiet and relaxing with great views. There were extras such as Val and Al giving us information about the upcoming Festival, church times, restaurant, places to go, even lemoncello! . When language was difficult, Valerie called her daughter-in- law who interpreted for us. We had wonderful breakfasts with huge cappuccinos, café, pastries, fresh figs (we had had only dried figs in our life), juices, etc. We ate outdoors and the scenery was serene and relaxing. Valerie and Allesandro even brought English speaking people to visit us. They did everything to make us feel at home, like family, but yet managed to give us our privacy. The location is great in the center of the village. We loved our stay and finding all in Serramezzana, the village my husband's Italian grandarents emigrated from to come to America, to be most gracious, welcoming and fun. When we return, we surely will stay again at B&B La Vigna, a home away from home. Thanks agan to Val and Allesandro -- we truly enjoyed ourselves so much.
