At the end of July this year, I was, together with two of my dearest friends, a week at the Masseria Macchia Relais San Pio. What to say...... everything beautiful to begin with the warm welcome of the wonderful Panetta Family who, besides being the owner of the Masseria for generations, manage it with love, making it a welcoming, relaxing, harmonious and serene oasis. Every corner of the structure is taken care of in every detail both in terms of apartments, pool, SPA, dining room, without forgetting the common areas and gardens and citrus fruits. Another positive note is that there is the kitchen that has delighted us with breakfasts, snacks served on the beach and dinners all based on delicious products and dining rooms.

Exceptional Location

It's a great place for those who like to eat well, relax and enjoy a beautiful sea, all according to the description of the site: bicycle service, swimming pool, equipped beach dining and spacious, clean rooms.

Seven days at the top in Basilicata

I have a positive memory of our stay at the Macchia farmhouse of the Panetta family. A historic farmhouse renovated with great competence, professionalism and passion with a high-quality result. The services offered are of high standard, the pool is beautiful, the care of the green and the impeccable garden. It is a real farmhouse, lovingly cared for by the Panetta family from different generations. Agrumetti, vineyards, olive groves and gardens spread orderly in about 200 hectares. The chefs of the inn have fresh vegetables at zero km. They prepare every day, with mastery, several dishes of the Mediterranean farmer's kitchen, all equipped with extra virgin oil of the farmhouse. The very clean private beach, spacious and equipped with a bicycle is located in a very remote area, with a dedicated staff and assistance of about 3 km.

Great farmhouse in Basilicata

It's a place where you can breathe calm and history. The Panetta family has taken care of the places for decades, all of them: buildings and fields, and they've managed to put a personal mark on the structure that is made, for once, of unconventional choices and a policy of hospitality based on precise and very clear rules. Very clean rooms, swimming pool, and really high-end kitchen without affection. Efficient services: bicycles available, and if preferred, transportation of people and snacks to the beach. A special note, which then turns into perhaps the most beautiful memory, for the attention of everyone who works there.

It's a perfect living room.

The Masseria is a truly beautiful and authentic place! The spaces, the greenery, the silence and the calm.....the rhythm scanded slowly. A real oasis of relaxation! The restaurant room is really beautiful and comfortable! The service is impeccable thanks to the very kind, competent and available staff. The Lucanian cuisine is impeccable, prepared with the heart and never an improvised dish or made runs through it. The beach is the highlight! It has finally plunged into a natural size with the pine tree behind it (crossed by bicycle or shuttle) and a kilometer of empty beach both north and south! The services on the beach level. In sum everything corresponds to the announcements of the owners in a really nice and Greek way.

Finally a place where time beats slowly!

It's nice to be in a nice place and feel at home, relaxing sunshine countryside and good food cooked by a wonderful staff, thanks to Renato, Cosimo and the always attentive and hospitable Mrs. Maria, a vacation I'll remember and a place I'll return to.

Relax and relax

We were with our seven-year-old and four-year-old children in this beautiful place. A fantastic beach, an excellent restaurant, impeccable staff. Large rooms. Availability, relaxation, good cuisine. Even the beautiful swimming pool (I think there's no chlorine, thanks to an innovative electrolysis system, so it doesn't irritate or smell).

I miss you already.

It is difficult to describe in words the experience experienced at the farmhouse. It is an intense experience that must be tasted at all times even in small things. I do not know where to start: the kindness and great attention to every single detail of the family that runs the farmhouse, the numerous services made available x make the stay comfortable, the beautiful private beach, the large and safe swimming pool, the quality food (with the utmost attention and care for those who have intolerance as was the case in our case), the courtesy of all the staff no one excluded, the proximity to many places of interest not only in Basilicata but also in Puglia. It is a truly magical place thanks to which you recover a slow quality time with your own family and facilitates the introduction of new acquaintances.

Just three words: authenticity, experience, kindness.

We too were welcomed into a very beautiful, clean, human-sized place, and we immediately became acquainted with the last generation of the family that has been running it and living in it for many years. Very kind, polite and very attentive to the most diverse signs proved to be their owners. Excellent service in every area, from the beach to the farm; cured and authentic in its flavors, the perfect food and rooted in the territory as you would expect in locations like this.

Looking for rest, serenity and good service without having to think about anything.

The Macchia farmhouse run by the Panetta family represents a beautiful reality in this corner of the territory... You can feel the value of the family and the love with which the Chief... Mr. Francesco gran simpaticone..... and his boys welcome the guests.
