I'm lucky to live within 20Km of Slieve Aughty so I get to visit often for horse riding, relaxing yoga sessions, long walks in the hills and lunches with friends. It has a rural, rustic charm all of its own, staff are friendly and their varying vegetarian food menu is delicious. I look forward to visiting often again in the future. 

This was a wonderful show. My 10 year old boy loved every minute. Everyone was very professional and creative.
The restaurant was lovely too. I would love to stay here for a few days during the summer. Thanks to all the staff

We had a wonderful stay over the weekend in one of the lodges. Very clean and comfortable, cozy beds, eco designed and cozy. We made the fire on both evening and had lovely time. Food is delicious too and also all organically sourced. We had breakfasts and dinners at place. Could highly recommend to all.

Tracking in the woods is something that we both enjoyed so much, girls who lead us were very friendly and we had so much fun trotting and galloping through lanes, meeting the deers, crossing the small streams.

Thanks to all staff making our stay unique. Couldn’t wait to come back!



Stayed at the glamping cabin for two nights  and loved our stay. We had breakfast included in our price and it was so good. Big thanks to all staff including chefs of course as the food was superb. The pizza was so good on the Friday night , and of course great organic ingredients , supported by the beautiful organic garden onsite. iWe had dinner on the Saturday of our stay and the beef burger was so good. Esther was such a great and welcoming host and all the staff were super nice also.

First stay at the Three Towers Eco House for us both. It's a world away from your generic hotel stay. The Eco House is as unique a building as how it is run. Esther has created  a calm and grounded pace of life here.
The rooms are airy and spacious and lovely and clean. The communal balconies are a great place to sit and watch the sun rise or set and hear the dawn/dusk chorus each day.
The food is wholesome and delicious and portions are generous. The honesty bar is a great concept and works quite well.
The horse riding centre was a hive of activity during the weekend. The enchanted wood is fantastic. I can imagine the people who curated it had a lot of fun putting it together. Children clearly love it here.
The surrounding woodlands are beautiful. There are various walking trails to take or, alternatively, like we did, lovely to wander through aimlessly. We were there in time to see the carpets of bluebells and wild garlic (if you venture deep enough). Would love to return for a stay again later in the year and see the woodlands in their autumnal glory.

The CELT craft workshops are good. Slieve Aughty is the perfect place to host something like this. We chose the sheepskin tanning with Sky. It was physically challenging work compared to some of the other crafts but you get out of it what you put in and I was chuffed with my first tanned hide. A weekend is a bit tight timewise for a hide this big so it needed a little more drying out and stretching/softening afterwards at home but I didn't mind that in the least. Our tutor was great and lent a hand at times when I ran out of steam. She sent round a follow-up email afterwards with guidance on how to smoke our tanned hides if we chose to do so. Lunch was served from the organic kitchen so it goes without saying we were well fed.

This place took my breath away. I took a group of 34 for a work trip and everyone felt the same. You feel immediately comfortable and at home in a stunning homely environment. I never experienced a building like this. The food was simple yet fresh and delicious, everyone wanted more and wanted to bring some home. Beautiful pestos, cheeses, salads and homemade breads. The seating areas were so comfy we had one of our productive enjoyable meetings. We didn't want to leave. Of course the hospitality was also outstanding!! Thank you!!! Generous portions of tasty fresh healthy organic food. Over our 7 night stay we didn't have the same meal twice.

Accommodation was clean and bedding, towels, toiletries, eco firelighters and logs for the wood burner were provided. 

While at night it is lovely and quiet, during the day it becomes a hub for the local community either popping in for riding lessons, coffee and cake, a meal, or a course such as foraging.

Great place to stay , extremely  friendly place , I will be back , can't say enough about this place , down to earth and relaxing , food amazing 👍🌷was there for basket weaving course with Kate , really enjoyed it , breakfast was small choice but delicious , pizza 🍕 night was so good

Great staff, food and room facilities. The family room has lots of space with some shared board games. Excellent Irish  breakfast.
Kids enjoyed the playground, the fairy forest and the horse trip. Ball game in the stables was a hit!

Glorious week during Ireland's heatwave, 11yr old daughter trekked jumped and did all things horse for the week including archery on horse back with Andrew, who's passion and skill for the subject was infectious.  The food was really wholesome and delicious and a lot was grown on site.   The atmosphere was very relaxed and the honesty bar made us feel like we were part of the family.  The pace is slow which is really what holidays like this are about, country side, horses, walks, lough swimming, food, wine - no better place to change gear.  Will be returning.

Stunning Place will not disappoint!

A special place, a good holiday, both 'healthy' and 'green' but in a good way

I stayed here in a cabin and brought my dog. It was a lovely self sufficient spot with plenty to see and do there including a vegetable garden, pet farm, riding centre and nearby walks. There was a restaurant with delicious organic food and I did a trek with the riding centre. 
I got the sense that the staff weren't very well trained but the more casual approach was nice in it's own way too as it felt like a place that was open and relaxed. Overall, a great experience that felt like you were actually in a different country and a place where you could rest and relax and be out in nature.

Great Little Retreat

Didn't want to leave - luckily got to stay another night.

I couldn't fault this spot. From the moment my son and I arrived to the moment we left both of us felt at home and very relaxed. The location, facilities, people, accommodation was great and there was something else I can't explain very well in words that made this place extra special, maybe it was Esther, Merel and MoMo! We didn't want to leave and will definitely head back some time. Thanks so much for such a lovely stay.

We had a fabulous 4 day horse riding staycation. It's a no 'airs and graces' sort of place , but clean,comfortable with good hearty food. We (family of 3) spent our days learning and being pushed by the excellent tutors whom were both phenomenal horse women. We learned so much and were exhausted at the end of everyday,. Beautiful and happy horses in a tranquil rural environment. 
We are already planning our next visit !
