The location of Pondok Krishna is great - right in the centre of town, all the restaurants and bars are walkable, yet tucked off the main road so it is still quiet and peaceful - the room was big, comfortable and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful - accommodated a late night check in, kept our bags after check off and prepared breakfast to go early for day trips. Would definitely stay again :) 

Peaceful place in a very central location

It is located off Poppies II lane down a 30m Alley. Don't mind the shop owners and massage ladies, they will learn you are staying there and won't hassle you everyday.

Rooms are basic but a good size. Air conditioning, wifi, community fridge available at reception. The rooms are cleaned everyday and beds made.

The family that run Pondok Krishna are so wonderful and highly reccomend getting to know them and finding out all the good spots in Kuta. 

The brekky is included in stay, i get the banana pancakes and balinese coffee every morning and it hits the spot. If you need brekky at particular time just let the staff know the night before and they will get it ready. 

At $25 a night you can't beat it :) 

Quiet Homestay in the middle of Kuta

The breakfast was nice,location is great and the owner is very friendly and helpful .
Just 5 mins walk to go to the beach. Very near from beachwalk mall at kuta.recommend the rooms at the first floor not the ground floor.

Great location

The place is very well located and is quiet, the breakfast is very good and the cleaning is very good, I don't give it 5 stars because the hostel guy recommended a man to rent the bike that he charged us for the price, otherwise everything is fine!

A pleasant stay.

This place is quiet despite it is located at one of the busiest street.

Out of the hotel, there are plenty of mini-mart.

Turn to the left, it will lead you to Kuta Beach. Turn to the right, it leads you to many entertainment pubs/cafes 

Good to stay but breed with many mosquitoes. Bring along with you mosquitoes pad/ repellent.


Decent Stay

We were staying in Kuta for two nights before a ferry to the islands and this guesthouse was perfect for us - it’s located in the heart of all the shopping, 5-10 mins walk from the beach and surrounded by restaurants and bars. The staff were really welcoming and friendly, the room was clean and had air con, and the banana pancakes for brekkie were awesome! Taxi driver found it easily from the airport, but did call the reception to double check as there are two Pondok Krishna’s in the neighbourhood so watch out! It’s down a little alley off Poppies Lane 2, but only about 30 metres and feels totally safe. The ferry company to Gili T even organised a pick up for us from the guesthouse early in the morning. Would definitely recommend for a cheap and comfortable place to stay. 

Perfect for a cheap getaway

The hotel is great. I recommend it. One of the advantages: cozy, clean, good breakfast, nice staff, location, near the beach, box center, shops, bars, restaurants. The downside: no toiletries, air conditioning blows right on the bed.

It's a very good hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights with a break. The hotel's facilities are very convenient! The rooms are clean and cozy! Breakfast is not varied but delicious! A small minus is the absence of soap accessories in the room, everyone needs to bring their own! Additional plus is a very pleasant and responsive staff! If necessary, you can leave your bags for storage! I recommend this hotel!!!

Good hotel, great staff!

Late flight, arriving around 1h30 (or more than 1h late), the owner waited for us nonetheless. Very good welcome and pleasant staff. Very well located: 5 minutes from Kuta beach. Room ok, bunk ok but unhealthy bathroom due to the mold appearing in several places and drops falling from the ceiling on the legs once on the toilet. Very strong smell of stagnant water when the toilet shower is activated. Hot water, no shower gel / shampooing. Too bad the bathroom is in such a state... the place could be perfect. Good breakfast. One of our only nights by being awakened without circulation, coquins or other eyes.

Really good.

Although it is located in a side alley of Poppies Lane II, it is very quiet and relaxed in the courtyard. However, since all the rooms border directly on the courtyard, you are easily awakened by the bustling neighbors. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Kuta Beach is less than 10 minutes' walk away.
